card counting (ala MIT) (alt.gambling)

If someone is tossed from a casino for counting cards will the casino
confiscate their chips? I got that impression from the History Channel
report on the MIT crew in 93. Sounds like stealing to me (the casino, not
the counters) if I am correct.
