You're welcome BoyFuzz. The information about the newsgroups was
excerpted from the Fort FAQ. The material in it came from many sources
and was compiled last summer by a gorup of BLs who care about others
and their safety/security. That's why it looked so familiar to avoice.
I've been on Astraweb ever since Easynews made a bad business decision
last year. I am thrilled with the service. Retention seems to be up to
about six month in active groups. I haven't checked recently, but I
believe have all the groups on my list. If not, they have a spot on
their webpage where members can anonymously request that a group be
added. I've done it three times. The groups were added within 24 hours
in each case. They've got a group called alt.fan.doc LOL! It's
deserted, I guess that speaks volumes doesn't it?
DO NOT post anything illegal from AW. They will shut your ass down in
a heartbeat. They accept pre paid Visa cards so I have no problem with
security.
