They found syringes on her at the time of her arrest. And the police
report cited credible rumors that she has been addicted to heroin for
the last few years. It's in the police and probation report.
The story around Hollywood is that her parents and others were
watching her and holding back her available cash so she couldn't buy
anymore heroin. All of her friends and fellow celebrities knew of her
problem and stopped giving her money. So when she got desperate, she
would steal clothes and then sell them for cash and use that cash to
buy heroin and those that were watching her wouldn't know about it.
That's the real story of what went on and why she was stealing.
