San Francisco always attracts a collection of celebs passing through or
working on new projects. This week, Carol Channing is staying at the Ritz
Carlton and was the headlining guest at a fund-raiser event while Bebe
Neuwirth is starring on stage in her new show "Here Lies Jenny" at the Post
Street Theatre. Also around town are Winona Ryder and Ryan Phillippe, both
part of the San Francisco International Film Festival. Locals got a chuckle
from a story of actor Phillippe, husband of Reese Witherspoon, meeting
Channing and gushing about what an honour it was, while Channing responded
with, "What do you do?"
