You got it.
It was purely a vindictive and politically-motivated prosecution
(Cooley ran on a campaign that his predecessor was soft on celebrities
like Bob Downey.)
What pissed me off is the utterly lousy defense run by Garegos who is
a spin doctor, not a competent trial attorney. Winona made a big
mistake hiring him. I see that at this current hearing her attorney
was somebody else (although perhaps of the same office since Garegos
is working on something else IIRC).
Ah. well, all water under the bridge. Her career will be back on
track in due time - she has another ten or fifteen years of babehood
left before they start casting her as somebody's mother.
