Charges should never have been felonies in the first place and the
judge knew it. Major railroading case there thanks to the DA being
the son of an FBI agent and Noni being a proponent of freeing Leonard
Peltier, the Indian activist accused of shooting two FBI agents
(another classic railroading by all accounts).
In an event, I'm sure she was insurable even after the felony
conviction. She's not Bob Downey, after all - not yet, anyway.
