Solomon's Private File #455
1950's. Stephen wrote about his life in letters to a penpal, and then
in a secure blog, in case he lost his memory again, in the master
computer in his school for gifted students, which he started attending
in 2016 in a new incarnation, until his death. Now his son Solomon is
attending the same school, and is writing in his own secure blog for
his future incarnations.
All characters are fictitious, even if some of them might have names
that belong to some actual people, or act like people we know.
Solomon is 36 in this story, in the Summer of 2062.
Solomon's Private File #455 "Conner And The Redheads"

I said to Conner, "Actions pending on a red-haired planet. Want in?"
He grinned, and said, "Stupid question! Yes!" I said, "Want to project
training with him, we were all together. I said to her, "You want to
watch?" She said, "I do!" Conner said, "I knew that." Grins. He said,
"I'll project it for you, with translations. I could give you the
languages, but there's no point in filling up your brain with things
you might not need right now. We can do that later." Grins.
At a house in the suburbs, on a redhead world, we knocked on the
door. To the man who answered, I said, "I am Solomon, and this is
Conner. May we come in and discuss something of significant importance
to you and your family?" He said, "What's this about?" I said, "Your
daughter." He said, "No! Get out of here! I'll have nothing to do with
you kidnappers! You took her for your research!" I said, "No. We didn't
do any of that. We don't work for any government anywhere." He said,
"You don't?" Conner said with a smile, "Do we look like we do?" He
said, "Oh. I see that. I apologize. Please come in." We did, and he
called for his wife to join us.
I said, "Your daughter was taken from you against your will." She
said, "That's true! What do you know about that?" I said, "I know
everything about that. What they did is wrong. What they're doing and
plan to do is wrong." He said, "What is that?" I said, "They plan to
make her into a spy and a weapon. They can't. It won't work. When they
discover that, somebody is going to be hurt. Who that is, depends on
what they do to her, and for how long." Conner said, "They're stupid.
No government should try to create a person who can kill with a
thought, and at the same time, make that person want to do that to
them." While they were trying to understand that, I said to Conner, "I
see I'm not the only one of us who likes to surprise people." He said,
"You who teach with who you are, shouldn't be surprised you're
successful at that." I said, "You're going to share that, aren't you."
He said, "Just did. Hawk is laughing like a wild man." I said, "Poor
uncle." Grins.
I said to the very interested couple, "If there is a category of
competition for the most in laughter, our Uncle Hawk would surely be a
strong contender for title of it." He said, "How did he know what was
said here?" I said, "We can talk mind to mind." Conner said, "And we do
that a lot about Solomon." He said, "You're like our daughter!" I said,
"A little older." Conner said, "And taller. And most importantly, fully
trained. We're teachers." She said, "You can kill with a thought?" I
said, "We have the skill to do that, and much more, but we can't have
the will do do that. We do NOT kill. We can't. We can't lie, too. Our
training creates people who can't do those things." He said, "How do we
know you're telling the truth?" I said, "You don't. It's really not
easy to prove what somebody can't choose to do. But your daughter will
know." She said, "True. Unsettling, that, for a parent." Grins. I said,
"If I could lie, or even want to, I would probably feel the same. I
have children. I have a different problem. They have the same
abilities, and some can teleport." He said, "That WOULD be a problem!"
She said, "Could our daughter learn to do that?" Conner said, "Yes,
and much more." He said, "You're teachers. What work do your students
do?" I said, "In part, what we're doing now, and how we're going to
rescue your daughter. Our first mission is to protect people from those
who abuse their powers. Yes, we protect people from us. We support the
advancement of intelligent life, but usually not so that it's known to
the public. We oppose lying, and the harming of children. We do not
allow interstellar war. How we stop that can be very interesting."
Conner's big grin made them smile. She said, "You travel in space?"
Conner said, "Not usually. We teleport. That's planet to planet. No
empty space involved. We can do that to objects as well. Really
confuses captains of military spaceships." Grins. I said, "That's
nothing. When our father redecorated them, inside and out, instantly,
with peace and love messages, they didn't know what to think." They
laughed.
He said, "How will you rescue her?" I said, "First, you need to
understand something. She can't come back here to you in the open." He
said, "Yes, they would take her, and kill us." I said, "We will cause
them to believe she's dead." Conner said, "We can create a body for
that. They won't be able to tell the difference." She said, "You could
have done that without telling us." I said, "True. And if you were bad
parents, we would have. We're asking for your permission to do this,
and your cooperation in not exposing what we do." She said, "She'll go
to your school?" I said, "When she knows about it, she'll demand to
attend. They all do." Grins. Conner said, "I did!" More grins. She
said, "She'll be able to visit us?" I said, "With our assistance before
she's able to teleport on her own, yes. But very carefully!" Conner
said, "She can use a disguise, too." Conner changed to look like
somebody else, and back. Man said, "Wow!" I said, "We hear that a lot."
Chuckles.
I said, "The authorities have no test for the abilities she has. If
they haven't seen them working, they can only know about it if one with
those abilities, who can sense in it others, tells them. We'll stop
that." H said, "I heard they have some of those people working for
them." I said, "They do, but those people have very limited abilities.
They are unable to know how much more powerful children such as your
daughter are. That could cause them REAL problems! We need to teach
those children self control, and strong ethics, or there will be a
disaster." She said, "There are more like her?" I said, "On this world?
Hundreds." He said, "You're not from this world, are you." I said,
"It's the hair, isn't it." Grins. I said, "As you've seen, we can look
like anything we choose to, but we don't, unless we have to. It's
dishonest."
She said, "You said our daughter is powerful. How much so, in
relation to your er, group?" I said, "Students shouldn't know that. It
could cause them to not learn properly." She said, "We won't tell her."
Conner said, "But our monitors will know. We all watch ourselves so we
can trust that we won't do anything bad, and so all can learn from
Solomon. We can see anything, anywhere." She said, "You have more than
one school?" I said with a grin, "Do you think this is our first
mission of this nature?" She was embarrassed, and said, "But?" I said,
"We do. Those with the most potential, and are compatible with the
environment and people, go to our original school, where your daughter
will be attending. You're not too sad about that." Big grins.
They looked at each other. Man said, "You have our permission to
rescue our daughter, and have her attend your school. We'll follow your
instructions. When we know what they are. Is there any way we can watch
what you do?" I said, "There is. Conner is enabling his personal
student to monitor us. She is unable to attend any of our schools, due
to different environmental requirements. I can do that for you here,
with a projected image, but it won't show feelings and mental
communications, well. I'll try to show them, but it might be a little
confusing to you." They nodded. I stood, and so did they. I said, "We
offer you our personal love." We helped them to sit. He said, "You're
holy!" I said, "Yes. We work for God, directly." She said, "If we had
prefer to use reason. That's why we hid our auras from you." We let
them shine. They said, "Wow!" Conner said, "We really DO hear that a
lot." We shifted out.
I said in their daughter's ear, "Quarin, the other people around you
can't hear this. I'm Solomon. You're in a bad situation, with bad
people, who want to do bad things. That's not good." Shen tried not to
laugh. I said, "Good control. I like that, but not as much as I like
your appreciation of my odd humor." She suppressed her grin. I said, "I
would like to remove you from this situation. I can do it easily, but
we need to make it so they think you're dead. Don't worry about your
parents. I've already discussed this with them. You can think words to
me, and I'll hear them." She said, "I can't go home! They'll find me,
and kill my parents." I said, "We told them that. While it's true you
can't live there again, you CAN visit them in secret, while you're
attending a special school. I know you're suspicious of that. You
should be. When we meet in person, you will know we speak the truth."
She said, "Yes. How will I be dead?" I said, "We'll create a body that
is so like you, they won't know the difference. The only real problem
is to decide what you will die of. Cancer would take too long. Got any
ideas?"
She said, "Can you make the body do things?" I said, "Like it was
real. I can even make those bad people feel her death. Painful is er,
appropriate." She suppressed her laughter. She said, "You don't like
them." I said, "I'm not able to hate, but if I did, they would be near
the top of my list for that. I think they should suffer at least as
much as you and your parents have in this. That's fair." She said, "I
agree. They cary guns. The other me could grab grab one and shoot
myself. You can make them feel that. I've actually been thinking of
doing just that." I said, "I know you have. Part of what I'm doing in
this, is to help you in your emotions, too. Rescuing a person is not
just a physical thing. Your idea is a good one, because it will make
them afraid it will happen again, if they do to another what they're
doing to you. We teach this kind of thinking in our schools. Work for
the long term, in managing a short term action. Never miss an
opportunity to do good for the future, in what you do in the present."
She said, "I want to go to that school!" I said, "We told your parents
you would demand that. There were a lot of grins." She covered her
mouth.
I said, "Here's the plan. We'll transport you to your bedroom at
home, and put the other you in your place. I can use more than one body
at a time, so it will be one of my presences that will take your place,
looking exactly like you. That body dying, won't hurt me at all,
because I don't actually need a body to live, and I can and do make a
lot of them all the time. I'm expecting a wow." She said, "Wow!" I
said, "Your parents are laughing. I'm letting them listen to this. They
didn't know that about me, and they said the usual wows, too." She
covered her grin. I said, "When I transport you, it will be instantly,
but it will be just you, not your clothes. The replacement body will
appear inside them. I assume you will put something on, to join us in
your living room." She said, "You assume right!"
I said, "Please stand. Nice jump." Suppressed giggles. I did the
transposition and porting. She dressed in a hurry, and came into the
living room, and hugged her parents. Then she looked at Conner and me,
and said, "Wow!" We grinned. We hugged, and she fainted. I said, "Don't
worry,. She's more sensitive to our love. Can happen the first time
with children of her abilities." She woke up and said, "That's a lot of
love!" I said, "Hug your parents again and share it." She did, and they
were very surprised they could feel it. I said, "Contact with us has
improved her abilities." Mother said to me, "Are you God?" I said,
"Partially, yes, now, but I was a real boy and man. I'm still a
separate person, and I have a wife and children of my own. And a lot of
great relatives." I poked Conner, and he poked me back, and we grinned.
I said, "This is Conner's first mission of this particular kind. He'll
be doing more for this world, as he should have expected." He said, "I
hoped, after you did this with Elise." He said to them, "We live to
serve." Nods.
I said, "Conner, how would you handle the after death issues?" He
said, "They should NOT have her body. The personal avenging angel bit,
and psionics removal. Dreams consequence." I said to them, "They will
relive the pain and horror of that death every night in their dreams,
and they will know that comes from a messenger of God. Which is
actually true. You shouldn't see that death. Yes, you know it really
isn't her, but your mind and feelings won't fully accept that when you
see it." Mother said, "You're right. I don't want that memory!" Nods.
Two days later, I shifted to their house. I said, "It's going to
happen in a few minutes." They nodded. I said, "I'll show it to you,
but you won't see the body as a person. That work for you?" She said,
"I think so. Thank you!" I said, "Eh, you're welcome." Grins
They were about to strap Quarin to an examination table, when she
grabbed one of their guns. She shot herself in the abdomen, and it hurt
a LOT. They all felt it, all who were involved in the situation, even
if they weren't in the same city. They saw it, too, in their minds. She
died slowly, in absolute agony, and they couldn't do anything about it,
but moan along with her. Then Conner ported to the room. He hung in the
air, his aura shining, looking a lot like their idea of an angel, and
said, "Angels are born. Before they come into their full powers, they
can die. You kept one of us prisoner here, and tortured her! You caused
her to end her life! You will not further desecrate her body!" That
body floated up into the air, and vanished going through the ceiling.
He said, "All of you who used your powers for evil, no longer have
them. You will remember this in your dreams. Do NOT interfere with
those who are of God! You deny them freedom and life, you will suffer
for that!" In a flair of light, he was gone. It took them a long time
to move again.
I said to the Conner, "They sure won't forget that!" He said, "I was
hoping. Approve?" I said, "I can't say for sure I would have done
exactly the same, but I hope I would have." He hugged me with tears. I
said to the family, "They might visit you soon. We'll be watching. Our
new student shouldn't be here then. If they wonder why you aren't all
crying when they tell you, you can say that you expected it to happen,
when monsters as they are, are involved. It won't be a lie." Nods. Man
said, "What if they demand we keep quiet about it?" I said, "That won't
be all that much of an issue. Video went on TV. Not identifying your
daughter. You can ask them to protect you from that publicity, if the
public connects you to that, in exchange for some compensation for what
they did to you." He grinned widely, and said, "What you said to Quarin
in working for the future." Conner said, "We call that the situation
manager ability. He's the best." Grins.
I said, "Your friends and family ask you what happened, you can say
that all you want to say about it is she's in a better place, which we
should make true now." More grins. Mother said, "With the angels?" I
said, "We do perform that function for God, so it's not really a lie,
or he couldn't have said it. Do you want your daughter to join us?"
They said, "I do!" Conner said to Quarin, "We'll give you all you need
there, even identical copies of what you have here. Ready?" She hugged
her parents. He said to them, "I'll show you her arrival." They ported
to the school, and saw the other different looking students. When that
ended, I said, "She'll visit about once a month. Too often will be too
unsettling from her study requirements. We teach the whole student more
than any other school can. We know how learning works, we who can see
the brain and body functioning, down to the subatomic level, with full
understanding." I cupped my ear, and they gave the usual wows to it,
with chuckles. We hugged, and I shifted out.
Conner ported to where Lolis was. I was there, too. I said to her,
"So, what do you think?" She said, "That was amazing! You were both
amazing!" Conner said, "There are different ways we could have done it,
or each of us alone. In that action, we used us to our best advantage."
I said, "With a little more experience, Conner will be supervising
others in those kinds of actions. This doesn't use his full abilities,
but it's the most personally rewarding. All of us want to do these
actions. We LOVE children!" Conner said to her, "You wanted to know
something of what we do. Not bad?" She grinned, and said, "I've got
more to learn! Give it to me. I want that for me!" I said, "I think we
approve." More grins, and hugs with love.
