They're very handsome boys -- who am I kidding? I try to say
"handsome," but the truth is that they're beautiful! And I really like
to see boys expressing feelings for each other. A friend sent me some
pictures that I cannot post here for personal reasons, but one of the
thing that really struck about the pix was the obvious love that the
two brothers in the pix had for each other -- the photographer really
seemed to capture it. I'm sure they also fight like cats and dogs at
times, but -- well, it's not just about brotherly love, it's that you
can tell that they genuinely LIKE each other, too -- if that makes
sense to you (and if you have brothers, I'm pretty sure it does!
Possibly if you have sisters, too!) They aren't even that affectionate
in the photos, but they don't have to, you can just tell that they
seem to enjoy being together.
One of the things that I've always liked about boys -- they don't tend
to be coy. You know if they like you. Of course, they may choose to
show it by teasing you mercilessly, but even then, there's something
so obvious about what they're doing! And, of course, sometimes the
only way they can express physical expression is through wrestling and
rough-and-tumble play; it's so weird that so few psychologists
recognize the phenomena of rough-and-tumble play as affection.
Love,
Steve
