Dear Sir,
Thank you for noting my post.
Your question seems to result from a shallow reading of my argument,
and it offends me, insomuch as in asking it you infer I myself am no
better than those I excoriate here.
Allow me to be very clear. I would absolutely do everything within my
power to return a boy to his loving family ... indeed, even if I knew
that the family from which he'd been taken was not, in my estimation,
a loving or good one ... and I've known many such.
That said, the probability that I might be thrust into such a scenario
is nearly impossible, wouldn't you agree? So what then is my purpose
here? It is simply to protest with the deepest emotion the twisted,
execrable and heinous set of values prevalent in our society to-day,
reflected even in the law, that hold those who torture and murder boys
are somehow still morally above those who love them.
I suspect you adhere to those values. If I am wrong, please so inform
me.
