Hello, all dear friends.
I'm a bit LATE to-day with my Johnie offerings. Here you will find a very nice set in the classical sense.
JppPe, in glorious black and white. I have somewhat of a preference for black and white photography. Colour is nice, certainly, but sometimes too much information obscures the important elements of the picture ... its essence.
Black and white removes this clutter and draws your eye to what the photographer intended you to see.
Just a thought about it ... or two. The greatest photographers worked in black and white.
Now, dear patron, you must at this point protest, stating,
"Well, they'd had no colour film when they worked their craft!"
But I would say to you that any photographer working after perhaps Steiglitz, had the option of colour or B&W.
They chose B&W for it's dramatic impact.
Here, then, is the art of Black and White.
