Sure Mr. Orwell is a strange racist oddball, but well there may be
some dark spots in his biography which made him to what he is now.
As a true gourmet I for one appreciate a balanced diet and some
variety in my food - however: it has to be really young and yummy
in every case.
Of course tastes are different in this respect, too - some people
may prefer some well hung meat but that's not exactly my cup of tea.
Apart from Mr. Orwell's obviously disrespectful comment about
a young conspecific, thereby revealing his deep-rooted disdain
rather than his culinary affection towards this little boy,
I can only support his statement insofar as celebrating a diligent
and careful preparation of the food is indeed adding to the subsequent
pleasure of a tasty meal.
You undoubtably know that respectful and consensual physical
incorporation of the young truelove (and NOT sexual cohabitation)
is the ultimate expression of devotion and admiration, and the epitome
of carnal and mental mergence with your beloved one, who's caringly
borne in your stomach (albeit piecewise) - just like the foetus
in the motherly womb - yet finally to be digested in a highly
spiritual act of all-consuming passion and absorption.
It is not without reason that you say someone looks 'good enough to
eat', that for example the genesis of the yanomami tells about
rape, murder and cannibalism and resulting creation of the first
yanomami from the surviving ghosts, that they still know
one and the same word for 'eat' and 'copulate', and that
cannibalism generally is an integral part of many other religious
and tribal rites - in a direct or substitutional way - see the
christian eucharist:
"For My flesh is food indeed, and My blood is drink indeed.
He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood abides in Me, and I in Him."
(John 6:55-56).
While I appreciate the incarnations of youthful blossom
in their entirety and do not discard certain body parts, -
savouring the pieces that represent the essence and personality
of your adored one, such as the heart and a yummy brain, is
the very pink of perfection in uniting not only with the beauty
of their carnal wrapping but with their youthful spirit as well.
Regards Canny.
