Suggestion to all: learn to use your newsreader's filtering capabilities,
and:
(1) filter out all the trolls.
(2) do NOT reply to their posts
(3) if you must reply, do not quote any of their text, since that won't be
filtered.
I have no idea what the most active trolls are saying, since I never see
their posts. And: how much more pleasant my usenet experience has become
as a result.
Ping VV re legality: I hate to say it, but we probably can't be too sure
about the legality of some of the material here, as ridiculous as that
sounds. Remember that in some places just about anything can be construed
to be cp these days. Anything where genitals are visible is risky,
or that seems at all "lewd" even if not nude. You just can't trust
puritanical courts or obsessed lawmakers in this, the age of hysteria.
Encrypt everything with a reliable open source encryption program.
Preferably encrypt your whole operating system if using Windows.
