Fascinating.
There is in the part called 'introduction' a caveat about authenticity.
There always seems to be when this theme is broached, be it on TV,
newspapers, etc. Basically there is usually always the possibility that a
child who turned out autistic went off or was sent off and was able to fend
for itself and relate in some way to a group of animals. Until the 1960s
nobody knew about autism, and even know there is no 'genetic test' for
autism, so we cannot take the 1990s foundlings and test whether they have
such issues or not. IN modern times half the 'feral' children are 'confined'
children anyway, by which I take it that they were brought up by humans who
were worse than animals.
