That makes sense. Since it wasn't instantly familiar, as the various basic
star- and cross-shapes are, I assumed it was a simplified version of
something rather more complex. Nightshade thought it might be a Tibetan
mandala and yes, if you take it down to the bare bones of square, circles,
central lotus, that also fits. I shall ask my Buddhist friend, when I see
him, he's quite good at identifying symbols :)
