Hardly cool or forbidden, its simply a polite way of letting people know
your home or not at home, it comes from a time when people left there
doors unlocked and didn't worry about folk breaking in, Mostly because
they had nothing worth taking.
Every housewife would do it, its not a witch thing, its a woman thing.

I do get annoyed with so called ex pagans who don't know a thing about
paganism or witchcraft or history it seems.
I rather suspect this ex pagan is looking to be noticed in a big way,
and hopes if they pretend to be ex pagans, then the stupid Christians
who believe them will give them all the attention they could need or
want.
Unfortunately for people like that their is never enough attention, its
a sickness, and they should not be used by others to prove a point.

The person in question needs  help not a pack of Christians using him
and rolling him out to prove how clever their god is.
If the best they can do is roll out pretend pagans it doesn't say much
for their intelligence douse it.
