There was nothing in the Gospels allowing Christians to demand respect
from others. Christians were and are consistently directed to show
humble and submissive spirits. The Gospel writers anticipated that
there would be some human pride that would sneak in to their followers,
both contemporary and those followers that would come later, and so it's
not surprising that there was quite a bit written about how there would
be those who would make presumptions about their own "salvation," and
they would be wrong. Whenver one of these so-called Christians makes
noises about "respect," especially when they are so slow to grant it to
others, that hints at the shallow nature of his or her faith.

Interesting observation. It does seem that Davey's comments have taken
on a Gastrichesque style, at least with respect to those entered into
the groups today--the whining about respect, the use of commas in
phrases such as "you haven't done that, today." Either Davey is making
another play using his "performance art" or he has decided to allow
Jason to use his account for posting into the groups.
