I have no experience with a stand alone sat radio receiver, so I don't know
what they are capable of, I listen over a Humax decoder and a normal TV.
When listening to the radio option, the Humax sends a jpg file of some sheet
music on an old sepia photograph, with the word "radio" on it to the TV
screen. I can also switch off the TV and listen through my wife's music
centre over the SCART
connection between the two.
I don't know of any advantages in buying a separate satellite radio when the
TV decoders are already kitted out for radio.
