An extreme of that POV could be that you would wind up deporting or exiling
everybody. One could say that in at least one other person's opinion, each
one of us is undesirable. I agree that if one comes into 'our' society, one
is to respect it. If you don't like it, if you're looking to destroy it,
then why are you there? You are free to leave.
At the same time, mass deportations are not the way to deal with issues such
as this. You would only wind up generating more hatred, etc towards
yourself. It's a walking on the edge kind of question, with no easy answers.
The danger for Christians in this, those who are working in Muslim countries
could face the same kind of attitude as being shown to the Muslim leader
here, even though Christians are not (in general, anyway) looking to destroy
the society of the country they are in, but rather trying to contribute to
it. I daresay that more and more, in their own home countries (I'm referring
specifically to western Christians here), their input is becoming less and
less welcome.
Other threads have mentioned the increasing social animosity towards
Christians. Make no mistake: this is happening everywhere. It will only
increase as time goes on.
