Isn't it just. A long time ago and in a galaxy now far beyond the reaches
of EN, someone posted a pretty unique bit of duplicate image software. It
was unique for 3 reasons: first, it wasn't freeware and although the
licence key was provided, I couldn't get full functionality. The other
aspects were the ability to vary the search parameters so that you could
look for a close approximation of an image and this, I guess, might have
solved the problem of images that have been logo'd or slightly cropped etc.
Thirdly, and best of all, you could maintain a database of every image
scanned which meant that every time you were in doubt, you could check the
picture against the database. Because I could never get these bits to work,
I deleted the thing but I wish I hadn't.
