: A Zephyrhills woman died Monday evening after a limb from a massive tree

: Nancy Booth, 62, was riding her bike with her son and daughter along a bike
: trail at Zephyr Park in Zephyrhills. The family members had stopped to rest
: at a bench area when a limb fell on top of the three people, killing Booth.

: Her son, Glenn Booth, suffered minor arm injuries. Nancy Booth's daughter
: was not injured.

: "My sister heard a crack," Glenn Booth said. "A limb hit her head and hit
: me. When I got back up, the limb was across her back and pinned her to the
: picnic table. Couldn't get it off of her."

: Booth died at the scene. It took crews several hours to cut through the tree

: Investigators say that, although the tree looked normal, severe rotting on
: the interior of the tree caused the limb to fall. The city of Zephyrhills
: says the tree in question was a 150-year-old grand oak that did not display
: any external signs of disease or weakness.

: Another of Nancy Booth's sons, Kevin Booth, said there is no indication that
: the tree was a danger to the public.

: "There was nothing on the outside of the tree that I could see that would
: show any danger," Booth said.
