Are you unable to see the previous posts in this thread or are you
saying you really prefer to wade through those never ending cascades of
repeated words, made all the more difficult to read by the newsreader
quote marks, in order to follow a thread? If I come across what appears
to be an interesting subject I'll read the opening post in the thread
and possibly one or two follow-ups after it. When the line count goes
out of control and the resulting posts start looking like a Sunday
newspaper supplements in size I tend to ignore them but do pick out
posts where the line count suddenly drops. It usually (though not
always) means that a poster has chosen to reply to the cogent point(s)
made in the original post.
