They are night hunters and live mainly on field mice, shrews etc. it is the
only bird that can turn its head a full 360 degrees and back again
(hopefully LOL). The are not known to attack humans unless of course you
are in the area of their nests at breeding time, and then you deserve all
you get. They are not kept as pets, thankfully. Some of the species grow to
2 feet or more.
