EN has admitted to me it's fallen down a bloody worm-hole.
In my home group, its retention has collapsed to zero & of the hundred
plus posts I've made over the last three days not one has got through
to the EN platform though they all made it to Astraweb.
I have had 4 emails from them bewailing their ineptitude, but they
have offered me a work around. So much so, that following their advice
I have just downloaded in Rolex over 11,000 frigging headers, with
enough bleeding jugsaws to see me through the Credit Crunch & into The
Beyond.
I will paste below their latest recommendation:-

We currently are having issues with our news.easynews.com farm at this
time. We would advise changing your client to connect to our beta NNTP
farm server address of news.us.easynews.com. After changing the server
address, remember you will need to reload all your headers so they
match
the new farm header count. Our new beta NNTP farm offers 100 days of
retention and it's on newer server equipment.

While I've certainly now managed to see new stuff, I don't yet know if
it's working in reverse, cos 2 test posts I sent to the changed server
half-an-hour back ain't yet appeared on EN though they have turned up
nice & dandy in Astraweb........so I using Astraweb for this post.
