This is supposed to be the only gothic cathedral built 'in the round'
rather than the traditional transept form. It also displays a gold
casket alleged to contain the bones of Charlemaine. The last time I saw
it, it was undergoing major renovation. While going to the cathedral I
kept seeing signs that said "Einbahnstrasse", with an arrow: I thought
I realized it meant 'one way street'.
Mont St. Michel next, perhaps?
