Soft sounds of nesting Dragons
Surrounding the Queen
Of Emerald Green
A trumpet sounds, bells ring
All rise to the challengers
The Bronze arrive!
First the Blues shoot for the sky
Darting through the caves
Bursting into sunlight
Guarding the Lair
Then the Reds, blood curdling screams
Split the dawn
Rising to the enemy
The warriors rush in
No mercy given, no quarter taken
The Bronze shall fall!
The battle joined
Quiet as mice, the Browns depart
Off to their points, Guard the young!
Slower than the others
Yet, far more ruthless
Soar to the heavens
Defend the caves
Defend the Queen
Of Emerald Green
From out of the heavens
The Bronze descend
To take the Queen
The ultimate prize
The battle is joined, voices raised
The cries of death, screams of victory
All would be lost, the Queen taken
Out of mountains comes the final warrior
Gryphons have come! Gryphons have come!
Sleek black arrow splits the sky
Beaks tearing, claws ripping
Screams of rage, bellows of pain
The Bronze are fleeing
The battle is won
Hail the Victors!
The Gryphons, a score to settle
Chase the Bronze!
Cries of Victory fill the air
Tears of mourning shed for the lost
Wings beating the victors return
Gryphon and Dragon united again
Black for the Gryphons, Emerald for a Queen
United in war content in peace
Sun beams heating the caves
Contented purrs of Gryphlets
Wrapped in wings of Green
