No you did not. Many ships were shared between countries. You will
find a lot of USS ships also with other designations from other
countries. Not all nations have/had the resources to build their own
ships.
Your precious HMS ships coming soon. Of course not every ship will be
posted. Seeing 50of the same craft simply with a different name on the
bow gets tedious after a while. I know each has their own
"personality". Though I have not served on any, I have had the
opportunity to walk on board a few. You can sense a bit of a
personality of a ship.
