An extremely interesting photograph this, regarding the early history
of photography, & the picture rewards close scrutiny.
What that bloody chair is doing plonked down in the middle of an empty
street ( hey, Mercs, just think of our bloody crowded, immigrant
swamped high streets!!!), I just couldn't say, but it was in the days
when you had to keep rigidly still for several minutes of camera
exposure.
The two kids are most unnaturally frozen, poor scared buggers; the
distant bloke outside his shop has obviously moved, but if you look
behind the chair, slap bang in front of the Naptha hoarding you've got
the blurred traces of a passer-by or a frigging ghost!
No double yellow lines either. "What bliss was it in those days to be
alive!", with apologies to Wordsworth. LOL
And finally, Rolex, what a lot of interested speculation these
casually (?) chosen pictures of yours have given rise to.
