Marvellous, Mercury. You're a Prince!
Making straight for "Land of Hope & Glory", I immediately d/l Track
10. Course, it was the Queen. Track 9 then, which was the wonderful,
spirited Fantasia. Most delightful. But where's that rousing Finale, I
began wondering. And as the titles don't come up till the track is
being played I slowly worked my way up from bottom to top.
And Dang, me, if it wasn't the very first track, Elgar's massively
stirring "Pomp & Circumstance", so there I was finally in the Albert
Hall myself for "The Last Night Of The Proms." All that was missing
were the fire-crackers & hooting car-horns from the Prommers
themselves in the packed auditorium that has now, by venerable
tradition, become a statutory feature of every Last Night.
Well. I've always wanted it, & now, thanks to you, I've got it.
Many thanks.
