Greyson Michael Chance, the 12-year-old pianist and songwriter whose version
of Lady Gaga's "Paparazzi" has gone viral, talked about his meteoric rise to
YouTube stardom on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show." Lady Gaga herself put in a
call to the show to say hello. "Greyson, you're so sweet and so talented,"
Gaga told him. "Stay away from girls and be focused."
Chance also told an anecdote about his mother texting him in math class to
tell him that producers from "Ellen" had called. It's a great show business
story-but are kids really supposed to be getting text messages in the middle
of the school day? I guess maybe if Ellen or Oprah call. But parents and
kids maybe should draw the line at Tyra.
The young performer later walked over to the piano and sang the song that
