Hi Zodiak,
I can easily see where you could have misunderstood the subject
line of insane_4_boys post. When I first downloaded the message
headers it looked to me as if he was requesting a "flood of group"
pics which sounded as if he wanted someone to flood the group
with pictures. When looking back after the text thread developed,
I saw that he was actually requesting a flood of "group" pictures
in which the pictures displayed groups or many boys. My excuse
for not realizing that is because I rarely follow the binary posts
so I didn't see what he was actually posting. It appears that you
also did not see the content of his posts and also judged him by
the subject line that he chose.
Insane_4_boys changed the subject to "group/collage" pics after he
realized that it could be taken the wrong way and replied to you in
an attempt to explain what he was wanting. He attempted to fix the
misunderstanding where you had nothing but criticism for a fellow
poster. I understand that the visitors of the group should have
respect for the posters, but they also shouldn't have to walk on
eggshells for fear of pissing off someone over a simple little
misunderstanding. You did the exact thing that you yourself get
all mad over...not respecting a poster.
As I stated earlier, I don't normally follow the binary posts in
these groups. I come here for the sense of community and to be able
to communicate with others with similar interests. To be able to
discuss my thoughts and feelings with others who understand. I do
realize that it's the binaries which draw the people to the groups
and without people visiting, there will be no text posts or discussion
threads. I realize that the binary posters do feel as if the lurkers
are sometimes totally ungrateful, but I do wish the binary posters
would consider what they do to the community when they expect all
to worship them and then rush off at the slightest misunderstanding.
I'm sorry to hear that you feel you must leave over this tiny little
misunderstanding and I know you'll be missed, but with the attitude
that you've displayed...are we better off?
Just because you waltz in and drop a few thousand pictures doesn't
automatically make you the king of The Fort. Some of you binary
posters are becoming as demanding as the lurkers that you complain
about. Respect has to be earned. I can say this without fear of
pissing anyone off because there isn't a binary poster in any of
these groups that has anything that I can't live without.
As for your wish that the group won't die, every time that one of
you binary posters storm off like this over NOTHING you drive a
nail into the coffin.
