Step by step instruction.txt
Hi,
I tought I had already been very specific...
You need two things:
A- PowerPost
B- Stunnel
Here it goes:
1- Go at this address:
http://www.stunnel.org/download/binaries.html
2- Download the following file:
stunnel-4.27-installer.exe
3- Install Stunnel on you computer
4- Open the Window tab at the bottom left of your desk
5- In the tab "All program" click on the Stunnel folder newly created by step 3 (Installation of Stunnel)
6 - Open that folder
7 - Click on the file:-> Edit Stunnel.conf
8 - A notepad txt file will appear
9 - Erase everything in it and replace it with the content of the Stunnel.conf file I sent you in my preceeding post. (I made the necessary changes to have it work for Astraweb)
Are you still following?
10 - Save the modified Stunnel.conf file by clicking File -> Save in that same NotePad. It will save the new Stunnel.conf with the changes I made
Still following?
11 - Reopen the Stunnel folder and now click on: -> Run Stunnel
If you did everything right:
12 - An icon should appear on your task bar indicating Stunnel is running. If not, you didn't copy the Stunnel.conf file correctly.
With Stunnel running:
Now, you need to change the settings in PowerPost to tell it to use Stunnel to connect to SSL.Astraweb (as mentioned in the Stunnel.conf)
13 - Open PowerPost (you asked how to use PowerPost with ssl.astraweb no?)
14- Make the change in PowerPost as I mentioned in the preceeding post (see the picture I posted). You need to change your settings to:
news server : 127.0.0.1
port: 563 (as mentioned in the Stunnel.conf)
Don't forget to put the your regular Username and Password for authentification
15 - Click on Apply to make the changes in PowerPost
That is all
Whenever you want to use the SSL.Astraweb server, make sure you run Stunnel BEFORE running PowerPost. And make sure you have PowerPost using the 127.0.0.1 configuration (not your "regular" configuration)
