All of the files I've posted so far, I've used a Mac computer and
Unison newsreader, however it would be much more convenient for me
to use a Windows computer. The problem is that the programs I've
tried so far either don't allow binary posting or won't connect to
Astraweb's secure servers. Here is a list of the programs I've tried
so far:
Grabit
Yenc Powerpost
NewsLeecher
NewsBin
News Rover
So, if anyone knows of any other programs that are NOT on the list
and allow binary posting and connect to Astraweb's secure server,
please let me know. Thanks much.
I use astraweb plus powerpost A&A-V11b
astraweb does not like posters especialy if they post large files
so you have to trick them
I tried to post files with agent and no way was able to make it work
power post though check your settings you should be able to post
mulitparts for 1 file which means liek if I split files at like 900k
it will post it in 4 parts {just an example}
you could maybe not have either up to date power post see my version
above , or your program settings need to be changed.
I had to play with the settings at first to get powerpost to work
and believe on powerpost website ex-plains about astraweb and problems posting
in your power post click view then click program settings then click tab for
program, where it says default lines i have mine at 1950 if you d not change it
try a test post see if you can post or get same errors?
I can post with my version of power post any size file from 1k to gigs and gigs
so you should be able to! they will just be posted in multipart files the larger
you files are!
