My dear icicle, tell me please, were you here when all of this
started? I was. You can choose to believe what you want -- and Lord
knows, there have been enough people lying about their age and forging
other ppl's nicks to make anyone suspicious. But Doc's abbreviated
version is, more-or-less, what happened. I had occasion to converse
with both KH and NP personally several times. And, frankly, we had
several misunderstandings during that period (to see NP refer to me as
"sir" didn't exactly help!) and, out of respect for my part in those
misunderstandings, I did not post here for many, many years and I
continue to decline the badge that Doc continues to want to confer
upon me.
In all fairness, I must say that I tend to take people at face value.
And I've been fooled on many occasions because I expect ppl to be as
honest as I am. So be it -- I'd rather err on the side of my heart
than be heartless. But I never saw any signs over the years that
either KH or NP were bogus in any way. And I was one of the first to
congratulate KH when he earned his degree. And, FTR, I and others have
seen NP post albeit rarely in another group dedicated to his sense of
humor and fun.
While you are certainly welcome to your own opinion and interpretation
of events, is it really necessary to do such a disservice to Doc?
