You have a valid point there, icicle; however, I would say to you that
you need to be careful before pointing the finger -- There, but for
the grace of God, go any one of us. That we have self-control and
believe strongly in protecting what we so love (boys) is a tribute to
us. But all it takes is a moment of weakness.
Now, I know that you are talking about the sick animals that simply
don't care who they hurt, animals that may not even particularly be
attracted to children except for the fact that they can dominate and
terrorize them. But I insist -- I don't know for certain why we are
the way we are and why they are the way that they are. So I still
insist that there, but for the grace of God, ....
And there are other issues involved. I hope that most of us realize
that 90% of all cases of child sexual abuse are perpetrated by people
the children and their families KNOW -- including various family
members. But no one wants to acknowledge this and accept that they
need to teach their children that it may be a family friend or another
family member who does this -- INSTEAD, they choose to raise the roof
about the so-called "STRANGER-DANGER!" It's harder to deal with when
it happens under your own roof, so they have to make sure they wipe
out the strangers!
Regardless of the reasons, we are facing a witch hunt that will strike
us down even when we've done nothing wrong -- just because we feel
what we feel. Take care of yourselves. And remember, it's never worth
it to trade a boy's safety for your own desires. I may go to jail, but
it won't be because I'm guilty!
