See my post in alt.activism. children re: child porn arrests
in Polk County Florida.
On CNN the sherrif complained that they could catch people
in possession of child porn but were never able to identify
the children in the images. That's because it's illegal for the
public to view child porn. In a rare case back in the '90's
a series of abusive photos called "heather and natasha"
were posted in the pre-teen newsgroup showing two
young girls being molested. Someone recognized the girls
and was able to anonymously notify the authorities and
the girls were rescued. Unfortunatly LEA does not want
any help from the public in ths matter. In fact if one tries
to be a good citizen and report something like this they
wind up being arrested and charged too.
