Curious.
Those familiar with the original website know that the authors were
very clear about the amount of oversight exercised by the Vietnamese
authorities, who made frequent unannounced visits to insure that
proper photography was being done, if you know what I mean. Indeed,
it is my understanding that the ultimate demise of the website came
not from the authorities at all, but from the pay services that
patrons used to subscribe refusing to support it. This, of course,
was a general problem with many child-orientated photography sites and
eventually drew them under.
I have never seen any evidence to suggest that any of the boys had
been photographed in an "immodest" way, although if one is quick of
eye, one can find photographs that contain a subtle "slip" or
two--clearly overlooked, insomuch as the diligent authors digitally
brushed out anything that gaps might reveal, and that could be be a
problem, because the boys, who enjoyed airy and loose-fitting short
pants, never wore underwear.
It is said a portion of the proceeds from the site went directly to
the boys and their families, and I have no reason to believe
otherwise. It is shame that sexual propriety brought it down, but so
goes the world.
