Jeez, guys -- they were just boy-themed jigsaw puzzles! Now, that
doesn't mean you shouldn't be careful what you download -- and you
should always be checking things for viruses. But we've had .exe files
before -- there were the slide show files that we've seen for several
years now.
If worse comes to worse, and you question the authenticity of an .exe
file -- then open it in a sandbox. In case you're wondering, a sandbox
is a self-contained area that you can run programs in and the sandbox
will not allow any changes to be made to your computer -- until you
decide that it's safe and tell it to let the changes be made. You can
also run your browser in a sandbox, and the cookies will not be saved,
nor will any favorites you may choose to bookmark -- UNTIL & UNLESS
you tell the program it's okay to save them. This also keeps any
malignant code that you might run across on a site from screwing you.
If you don't have Sandboxie -- I could post it. Oh, that's right --
you don't trust any such files that might be uploaded here!
FTR, those were awesome puzzles by Ronin -- and if you missed them,
you missed some great fun!
