Yep communication is always a problem in these far-flung regions
I am certain you can recall the sad tale of my faithful carrier

ended his days served up on my dinner plate!
I am still much mortified and raked with guilt at my rash and
unwarranted execution of my faithful messenger.
However!
He did I recall provide a welcome respite from deep fry Tarantula and
scorpion so there is always a silver lining within the cloud of gloom.
