Hi Cosmos!
That was a quick response! But thou hast harped my fears a-right.
When last March I launched several binaries here "to reclaim the Fort"
after the place had lain fallow for some 4 months it received a quite
dramatic response, which bult up into several thousands from different
posters, culminating in a smorgasbord for the Fort's Birthday
Anniversary. From Frankenweenie, KH, Doc, Boomer and from, Ronin,
Thomas, Lylekrut, DS, yourself notably, the inexhaustible Drew & many
others.
Then out of the blue, EN along with other Providers dropped this &
related groups so there was, till people switched Providers, an
inevitable falling-off. Nonetheless, it gradually picked up & some 4
new Badge-holders joined. False dawn, I'm afraid. And I do look
wistfully back on the great guys of the past , the merry banter &
laughter. Fenton, Q, mac, Junior, nono, Puck, K.H, Pester, Ninj, Elmo,
Lomis, Ghost, Raffles, abc, F_Monk, Boyfan, Moviefan, WaterDance,
gollum, etc, etc, etc.
'Twas brillig, & the slithy toves
Did gyre & gimble in the wabe
All mimsy were the borogrobes........."
So, where the fuck???

Morph will be off-line for a few days/weeks, though I know his genuine
interest in your posts sprang fron his knowledge of those same parts &
their language. He was familiar with the jungle scenario that your
Harrison Ford-Indiana Jones UNESCO missions led you through. Your
comment about the futility of posting to what too often seems now to
be an empty auditorium has occurred to me more than once. While we
don't actually go round hunting for approval or seeking recognition,
it does seem to be a fatuous activity to be simply posting stuff back
to ourselves. I would be sorry to see it all end & lose what contact
we have with the few stalwarts that still remain, but there's no point
either in continuing to live in cloud-cuckoo-land. Leaving aside the
posting of jpegs, avis & mpegs etc, there are no conversational
exchanges, no coming-together of like-minds....no Fort as was.
