Actually, it really is. It's strange to go back to school after so many
years out, and there are a lot of bumps you have to get over. You have
to learn how to juggle school, work, family, homework, and all the other
crap. It's also expensive. School will nickel and dime you death.
Getting over those bumps can be one of the hardest things you'll ever do,
and I almost dropped out after only three or four weeks there because I
was having a hard time adjusting to it. If you stick it out though, the
rewards are incredible. It opens up a whole new world for you. You meet
new people, learn new things, and get involved in new activities. I
still curse the day I was hurt, but not as much as I did before. In some
ways I'm kind of glad it happened. Getting hurt gave me a chance at new
and better life, once I decided that I was going to be a survivor and
make the injury work for me and stop letting it ruin my life.
