Solomon's Private File #258
These stories about Stephen and Solomon take place starting in
1950's. Stephen wrote about his life in letters to a penpal, and then
in a secure blog, in case he lost his memory again, in the master
computer in his school for gifted students, which he started attending
in 2016 in a new incarnation, until his death. Now his son Solomon is
attending the same school, and is writing in his own secure blog for
his future incarnations.
All characters are fictitious, even if some of them might have names
that belong to some actual people, or act like people we know.
Solomon is 27 in this story, in the Fall of 2053.

I shifted to a clerk's office, in the Office of Records for the
Navajo Nation. She grinned up at me from behind her desk. I said,
"Loyalty. Some just never understand it. Other nations are just of
people. We're family." BIG grins. I said, "Good you didn't spit on him,
not! Worms are nicer." Chuckles. I said, "Still, fifty thousand dollars
is a lot of money." She nodded and said, "I should have asked for a
million. When his eyes popped out, I could have stepped on them." I
said, "Wow! I wish I could have said that." Her grin almost split her
face.
I said, "I've been working on some projects. One of them is jewelry
making. By hand, not the instant way my father did. I didn't know why.
Was just a feeling that I should. Now I know why, and who it's for." I
put the wooden box I ported to me, on her desk. She sat frozen, staring
at it. I said, "Would be interesting if it opened up and bit your nose
said, "Oh, well, now the whole building knows." She ignored that, and
picked up the fancy silver and turquoise necklace. There were earrings
and bracelets in the box, too. She said, "I've never seen anything like
this, in workmanship and artistry!" I said, "Reason to make it." She
said, "I have to agree. Magnificent." I said, "Oh, you're not too bad
yourself. It's signed to you. All the pieces. This gift isn't for doing
your job, and maintaining our privacy, but for doing it with STYLE, as
only one of The People could." Tears flowed. I held out my arms, and
she stood and came into my hug with love.
I helped her to sit. I said, "If anything becomes, er, lost; when
nobody is watching, hold out your hands and strongly wish for it, and
there they will be." She said, "I don't know how to thank you!" I said,
"Your feelings are doing a pretty good job of that for you, so don't
worry about it. There is a crystal in each piece that contains my love.
There is another crystal in the pendant. Want a recording of this er,
event in it?" She said, "Oh yes, please!" I said, "Done. It will work
for anybody. Maybe you might want to test that a lot." Grins and
chuckles. I said, "My wife and mother are crying in happiness for you.
Allow them to join us?" She said, "Oh, wow! Yes, please!" They ported
in, and hugged and kissed.
Back home, Mom said, "I have a lot of wows for that. So thoughtful!"
Galya said, "And how you did it! That's what I find amazing." Mom said,
"You used one of your father's workshops?" I said, "I copied the Misnok
house to a different planet, so I could use a presence in secret. Well,
I didn't know who I was making it for." She said, "So it could have
been for one of us. Good that it wasn't. They're beautiful, but what
you did with them was even more beautiful." Galya said, "I have to
agree."
I sent a presence to the office of the owner of a major high powered
detective agency. He said, "Trespass, and I've got it recorded." I said
with a grin, "No you don't." He said, "Still, you're breaking the law."
I said, "If I were actually here, maybe." He said, "Then invasion of
privacy." I said, "Sorry, no. Got a business office here, not a
residence. I'm the lawyer here." He said, "So you're not here in body?
An image, then?" I said, "As you know them, neither." He said, "Then
what are you?" I said, "Not a what, but a conceptualized condition. Are
you familiar with the concept that all reality is an illusion, and that
because we are in it and part of it, it's real and concrete to us?" He
said, "Yes." I said, "To me, that is so, because I can see it from
outside of it. AND I can manipulate it. And so I have. What you see of
me here is a manipulated portion of reality to give you something you
can perceive." He said, "So you are that much beyond enlightened." I
said, "But not beyond surprising my people into yelling all kinds of
questions in my mind. Well, part of me is at home, and my wife is
poking that body. She keeps doing that, my own er, poker there is going
to want to play. Oh, there goes Hawk." He laughed.
I said, "You know why I'm almost here." He nodded. I said, "You
should have known I would have a watch there. If you wanted to have me
visit, you could have asked." He said, "I didn't know how to do that."
I said, "I thought you were intelligent. Shows I can make mistakes." He
was annoyed, and said, "So how could I have done it?" I said, "Same as
everybody else. Contact somebody you know I know. Like CNN. FBI, people
I've approved. For gosh sakes, you could have sent a snail mail letter
with my name on it. Post office has a dead letter bin just for me, and
I read it all. I help a lot of kids from that." He said, "Oh." I said,
"Are you really that stupid, you couldn't figure out how?" He sighed,
and said, "I guess so." I said, "And you own a detective agency. They
actually pay you to not find people?" He smiled, and said, "They do.
Well, I did get you to come here." I said, "By committing a felony? You
insulted one of my people, of the Navajo Nation. You offered her MONEY
to betray one of her own. It's recorded. We can prosecute. I can call
on power and resources that can crush you flat. Legally. Tell me why I
shouldn't."
He said, "My son is missing." I said, "And for my help, you would
sacrifice your livelihood, and that of your employees? Did you ask THEM
to make that sacrifice? What of THEIR children?" He said, "I've done
wrong. I admit that. I see now there was no justification. But still,
my son is missing." I said, "When did you know?" He said, "6 days ago."
I said, "And when did you decide to ask me for help?" He said, "Three
days ago, and that's when I sent my detective." I said, "And he took
two days. If you had used some of the means I mentioned, when you
decided, I could have saved him. Now, I can just tell you where he's
buried." He streamed tears, and said, "Can you tell me what happened?"
I said, "In that crystal. Before you read that, consider the lesson of
the base in Somalia." He said, "Dishonorable actions have
consequences." I said, "Eventually. Sometimes sooner, unfortunately for
you and your son. Your fault was arrogance. Keep your people out of
Navajo territory. Any hint of anything negative against me or my people
and friends, you will lose more than you would expect, and gain
something you really won't want. I'm sorry about your son. A good man,
in spite of your efforts."
I said, "One more thing. I've been Sol the Guardian to you. Now I can
be Sol the religious counselor to you, if you will accept me." I held
out my arms, and he came into them and sobbed. I gave him my love, and
helped him to sit. He read the crystal, and cried again. Another hug.
He said, "I'm proud of him. So courageous! What can be done about his
killers?" I said, "Criminal action was actually caught on an ATM
camera, before they dragged him away. One of my presences is with the
local police, and I told them that, and gave them more evidence.
They'll find more on the body. If the perps aren't convicted, I'll be
giving them a consequence. You know revenge is NOT the way. They will
actually suffer more in life than in death, as is right and just." He
said, "I understand. So it was my enemies who took him." I said, "Did
they really have to be made your enemies?" He said, "You were right.
Arrogance. I didn't care." I said, "Only make enemies deliberately, and
only after deliberation. With how you were and ran your business, do
you think you were too successful?"
He said, "I understand. I was successful with abusive tactics. That
could only last so long, before it came back on me." I said, "You
tarnished the Golden Rule." He said, "So true, but only you could have
said that." I said, "My rule, so I can say what I want about it. Except
for some glaring blind spots, you're a very intelligent man. You might
want to spend some time getting to know that part of you. What you
missed, can open up a new and good reality to you. Your son didn't
always act like he loved you, but that was in reaction to your own er,
negativity. He loved you, and he still does, and wants you to know
that. I think his next life is going to be a nicer one. Oh! Well,
that's different." He said, "What happened?" I said, "I suppose I have
to tell you, or He wouldn't have told me. He WILL have a nicer life."
He said, "God?" I said, "Yes. First time for that subject. He must
think you're worth rehabilitating. I know. Wow!" Awe and chuckles.
I said, "You can help more people than you do. Desperate people who
can't afford you. Innocence Project could use help, too. Son likes the
idea of that." He said, "I have a new mission!" I said, "You have to
make a living, but you can still do some help, too. I think now, you
actually want to. Make what happened, have some good from it." He said,
"Right. I think I need to. You've helped me more than I could imagine,
and I didn't deserve it." I said, "All people deserve my help. God's
help. But I have to say, it sure is strange how he makes it happen!" He
said, "You speak for Him, and you don't know?" I said, "And on purpose.
I think he's training me with that. Making me think so much like Him, I
could almost BE him, well, in miniature." He said, "Demigod?" I said,
"Demi means small or little. I think, more like an apprentice." I
played the music, 'Sorcerer's Apprentice'. He grinned.
I said, "To call me, ONLY when you really need me, call the FBI in
DC. When the system announces the menu, say my name, and I'll intercept
it. Yes, they know and approve of that, because it's mostly for helping
people, such as local police agencies, with danger to children." He
said, "Oh! Texas A&M!" I said, "Yes. Ranger I worked with before,
called me." He said, "Bikini waxing!" I said, "Set Hawk off, almost to
convulsions." Grins. I said, "Here's a crystal with some interesting
reading. Has my love in it, too." I offered to hug, and we did that.
Then I said, "I should be going now, but a question. Were you trying to
extort my help with that trespassing accusation?" He looked embarrassed
and ashamed. I said, "I see. You REALLY didn't know me!" Chuckles. I
left.
Mom said, "You wanted me to see that action." I said, "A lot of
people. I didn't know why, just that I should." Galya said, "A lot of
lessons in it. Powerful lessons." George said in the air, "What I got
from that was our actions might not be over when we think they are.
That's it's REALLY about helping people, and not just correcting them."
I said, "Yes. Leveraging the result of the action for extra benefit,
should be partially the reason for doing it. Operational goal is only
part of the main goal; improvement of humanity. God's plan and will.
Always keep that in mind, and work from that perspective." He said,
"I'll stress that, and make viewing that mandatory. THANK YOU!" I said,
"You're welcome." We all shared love.
Daren said in my mind, "Got it all. Thanks. Improving not just
humanity." I said, "ALL people. Us, too. Doing all that helps us to
improve who WE are." He said, "And it does!"
I shifted to meet with the plant. She said, "You use so many
presences, I can't watch all of them, even if I knew where they all
were." I said, "If you didn't understand what frustrating was before,
you sure do now." Chuckles. I said, "I could share some of my actions
with you, if you wish. Oh, that's a BIG wish." Chuckles. So I did that.
She said, "I don't have the mental concepts to show how amazing I think
what you're doing is. So much love and care is almost impossible to
comprehend how you could think of and do all that." I said, "Sometimes
I feel the same." She said, "I loved the gift of the jewelry. That was
beautiful." I said, "I have to say, part of that was for my pleasure,
too." She said, "I understand. I would feel that way, if I could have
thought of it." I said, "Often, our thinking is motivated and strongly
guided by the circumstances that surround us. When you have
responsibilities, you are forced to think of what those require, that
you might not have otherwise. I'm the leader, so I have to think like,
and work like I am, and that includes taking care of my people in all
ways, which somebody not a leader wouldn't have to think of. It's not
your fault that you wouldn't have thought of that, because you aren't
in the operationally required frame of mind that would cause it."
She said, "You're being polite again." I grinned and said,
"Partially, but mostly in teaching mode." She chuckled, and said, "I'll
accept that. Your explanation to the detective regarding your presence,
I find intriguing. And astounding. You are beyond reality, and can
manipulate it!" I said, "A portion of it, mostly regarding me. I can
see more that I can't influence, including some I really shouldn't.
It's all interconnected. Change something here, causes a change there I
might not want to happen. I have to be VERY careful." She said, "I
doubt I will ever understand that."
She said, "You could help people more than you do." I said, "Yes, I
could give them more of the help they want, but that isn't the same as
what they need, and really isn't the same as what the species needs to
evolve well." She said, "It hurts you." I said, "I'm not apart from
that processes, and even that hurting is for a purpose. I don't receive
from God all I want, which is probably not what I need and should have,
from HIS viewpoint. I want more complete instructions, so I can be SURE
I'm doing what he wants. Instead, He wants me to figure it out from
faint clues, for me to learn the process of seeing it for myself. So,
I'm being forced to improve, just as I'm doing that to others at His
order." She said, "I think I understand it better. Thank you. She
really is training you to be Her."
I said, "Correct." She said, "Wow! I didn't expect you to agree to
that, without qualification." I grinned, and said, "I know. No more,
now, though." We shared love.
