Solomon's Private File #162
These stories about Stephen and Solomon take place starting in
1950's. Stephen wrote about his life in letters to a penpal, and then
in a secure blog, in case he lost his memory again, in the master
computer in his school for gifted students, which he started attending
in 2016 in a new incarnation, until his death. Now his son Solomon is
attending the same school, and is writing in his own secure blog for
his future incarnations.
All characters are fictitious, even if some of them might have names
that belong to some actual people, or act like people we know.
Solomon is 21 in this story, in the Fall of 2047.
Solomon's Private File #162 "Another Dimension"

I said to Daren, "Call an S exec conference, and with Rang." When it
was assembled, I said, "There's been an inter-demensional intrusion out
in the galaxy." I gave them the coordinates, and pointed their minds to
it. George said, "It's a ship. But how did you know?" I said,
"Galaxy-wide detector web. Here's the settings." Wows. Elise said,
"Well armed. Mag and light shields. Absorption screens, too." May said,
"Fancy FTL. Can't see how they made dimensional." I said, "Look here."
I showed them. Daren said, "Oh! Accidental." I said, "Got some
psionics. Two Adepts, and some lesser ones. No conscious use of the
4th. Smart, but not geniuses, but some of the non psis are. Big crew."
George said, "Can you tell the source?" I said, "Different from our
porting. Time diving info is inconclusive." George said, "Been reading
the Captain. That's a war colony support ship." May said, "Why it's so
big and armed. Can we port through the screens?" I said, "First test
biotic failed. Ha! Dimensional relay succeeded, but very tricky
vectors." They looked at me in awe. Daren said, "I didn't think that
was possible, even for you." I said, matter of factly, "Me, too."
Chuckles.
I said on the frequency they used, in their language, "Greetings. I
am Solomon. You are out of your home space. Are you in need of
assistance? Please reply on this frequency and at low power, if you
wish to have a conversation." They were confused, being unable to
determine the source of my signal. Finally, "This is the Captain of
Alliance Ship AC1709. We are unable to detect you. Can you remedy
that?" I said, "Please tell me what you would like to detect, and I
will provide that for you, if I can." More confusion. He said, "Your
ship?" I said, "I'm not using a ship. If you need one, I can make one
for you to see." Added frustration. He said, "I think we have a
communication problem." I said, "Incorrect. You understand my words.
You will not accept what they mean. Try thinking?" He was obviously
able to grind his teeth. He was given some advice, to which he said it
was impossible. The mic was off, but I said, "It is possible, but not
as it applies to me at this time." He said, "So you ARE a corporeal
being?" I said, "I am." He said, "But how did you know what I said?" I
said, "I listened. Best way to do that. You should have expected it, on
observing that I know your language." He said, "Oh! I think we do need
some kind of assistance. We are in an unfamiliar space, and we don't
know why, or what we can do about it."
I said, "There are many different spaces, with differences between
them so small as to be almost undetectable. Determining which space is
yours, may be very difficult to impossible. I have looked back into
time to examine your appearance in this space, but there wasn't enough
information in that to enable complete success. If I could follow the
timeline of some of your individuals, I might be able to learn more."
He said, "Wow!" I said, "I hear that a lot." Laughter in his
background. He said, "Would you need to physically come aboard to
conduct this research?" I said, "Yes. You are unlikely to disable your
defensive screens which may interfere with that research, if conducted
remotely." He said, "Is our environment compatible?" I said, "It is
not, but I will protect myself." He said, "Would you allow us to
examine you?" I said, "That would not be compatible with my
environmental protection." He said, "We must trust you?" I said, "That
isn't something that relates to our reality. If I had the will, I could
have destroyed you instantly at any time. Being on your ship causes no
change in that." He said, "How are we to believe that?" I said, "If I
destroyed you, you would not be alive to believe anything.
Inconvenient. However, I am unable to directly cause the death of a
sentient being, and I am unable to lie. Some of your people know
something of this." They had a conference among themselves.
He said, "We will allow you to board." I said, "Aren't you forgetting
something? I can see and hear inside your ship." Somebody said in the
background, "Oops!" The Captain said, "How will you board our ship?" I
said, "I will teleport." He said, "Are you on a nearby world?" I said,
"No. I'm on a world that is on the other side of this galaxy, and
getting a little impatient. I have other duties that involve people who
actually desire my help." He gave the order to turn off the defensive
screens. I ported to the Control Room. They were my size, and upright,
but of the centaur shape, covered with multicolored fluffy feathers.
Gravity almost twice Earth normal. I didn't need to adjust my shield
for that. We looked at each other. They were totally astonished to see
my aura. I said, "My own sensibilities, which some of you can feel, are
that you are pleasing to look at. I have no hope that such feelings are
equaled." Some laughed their way. The senior of the Adepts said to the
Captain, "It is true. He cannot lie. He is a Prophet of God." I bowed
to him, and he curtsied.
The Captain said to me in awe, "You are?" I said, "Yes. That you can
see my aura is proof of that." He gulped and said, "When will you
examine our people?" I said, "I've already done that. It helped, but
not enough." He said, "Then we are lost?" I said, "Not yet. I will ask
God for help. If any of you here would like to be a part of that, I
will include you in it." The Adept said, "You have done this before?" I
said, "Yes, although not for this particular problem. We may receive no
answer, or one we can't understand, or a rude noise. Oh yes, He has a
sense of humor." Some awed smiles. All in the room wanted to be in it.
I said, "Best you be positioned so that if you were to lose
consciousness, you would not be injured even in dignity." They did
that. I glowed and started the love broadcast, and reached. Dad came in
for God, and gave me a package, personal love, and a rude noise for
all, with humor. I stopped the broadcast, and said, "Told you." More
awe. An Adept said, "He loves you!" I said, "Sure. Wouldn't hate His
best representative, would He? Yes, I'm the Senior Prophet and Master
Guardian for all the multiverse."
I said, "I can take or send you back now, but there is a little
problem. You would not have a nice reception. The planet you were to
assist has fallen to your enemy. You would be destroyed if you
approached it now. Why are you fighting?" He said, "It's a long story."
I said, "I think you have some time now." We went to a conference room,
the Captain, his First Officer, the two Adepts, and the Science
officer. They explained. They had never encountered another intelligent
species in their space, so they fought against themselves because there
were very few planets that were compatible for them to occupy. I said,
"Have you thought of having less sex?" The Science Officer smiled and
said, "Yes we have, but we know they won't, and so we won't limit our
reproduction." I said, "If you were all made ugly to each other?" He
said, "Could that happen?" I said, "Yes, but not at this time. One way
of looking at this, is your galaxy would be better off if you all
killed yourselves." An Adept said, "That has been discussed." I said,
"Any suggestions?" The First said, "You would interfere?" I said, "Does
anybody think your ship appearing in my home space where I would notice
it, was a complete accident?"
Surprise and awe filled the room. I said, "He's done this to me
before. Hmm, there are a lot of stars there that don't have planets.
Want some extra?" They just stared at me. I waited. Captain said, "You
can do that?" I said, "I won't know until I try, but I think so. I've
repaired ruined planets, so this would be just a little more involved.
I would do this for both sides, so I would have to discuss it with
them, too." He said, "They won't believe you." I said, "Persuasion
could be a little interesting." Chuckles. I said, "I was right. It IS
interesting. My Guardians are discussing this with your leaders. Some
violence was ignored. Hmm, slow learners. Ha! Usual politicians."
Science said, "You can see across spaces?" I said, "Yes. I can perceive
anything anywhere I want to in the present and the past, but not all at
once." He said, "How did you learn our language?" I said, "I scanned
your ship. Then I knew everything in it. Yes, that includes your
brains. No, I did not look at your private thoughts. I reserve that for
criminals." Some relief.
I said, "Belief will be encouraged by a little demonstration. It will
take some time to be verified. It is now safe for you to return to your
space." Captain said, "I'm almost afraid to ask, but what did you do?"
I said, "All your ships there are now without offensive weapons, both
sides. And so will this one be, when it returns to your space. Each of
your sides should choose the planet you would like to be duplicated. It
will not be improved, though. You must build as you would for any newly
discovered planet. Lower life forms will be duplicated, but not the
same way." Science said, "You can create life?" I said, "My wife and I
had a lot of fun doing that." He smiled and said, "I didn't mean that
way." I said, "Life forms will be created the usual way, but in a time
accelerated process. It's complicated and very difficult to explain.
Er, so I won't." He nodded, and said, "The scale of that would be
enormous!" I said, "Bigger." He chuckled. I said, "Automated. Setting
it up will be a good experience for my students. Er, after they finish
complaining. Hmm, that might take some time." First said, "You are in
communication with them?" I said, "Yes. Constantly, with some. We
monitor each other for health. With our abilities, we don't want to
risk one of us becoming out of control due to a brain injury. I see
your reaction. All feel that way when they learn of this. No, it's no
insult. We feel the same."
An Adept said, "Privacy?" I said, "What's that?" He nodded. I said,
"They have it more than I do, being the most powerful. And for another
reason. They consider watching me to be er, entertaining." There was
some agreement. I said, "Some of your people have prosthetic limbs. I
offer to give them the originals. If you would announce that, and ask
them to remove them, I will do a healing." He said, "All at once?" I
said, "Yes. I did that for 37 planets at once, before. Yes, in real
time. Distance doesn't mean much to me." Science said, "You are
answering questions before we ask, but you are not hearing our
thoughts?" I said, "I sense feelings, and I have an intelligence that
cannot be measured, and I have thousands of years experience with all
kinds of people. And this isn't new to me. I don't need to see thoughts
to know something of what people think. I will begin." I started the
love broadcast, and was joined for the healing. When it was over, I
said, "It's done. And on your major planets as well. My people had
announced that." He said, "Could they have done it themselves?" I said,
"Yes, but since I was doing it here, efficiency prevailed."
I said, "Your leaders are surprised. Well, they and truth, are
severely unacquainted with each other." Laughter. I said, "My own
people liked that one." Smiles. I said, "They are undecided regarding
which planets they want duplicated. When they are able to decide, or
find somebody to do it for them, my people will know and start the
work. They don't need to hurry, because it will take your people some
time to travel to the new planets." Science said, "What would be the
fastest time?" I said, "I don't know that. I won't, until we know which
planets they choose. We can adjust the organic time management as much
as needed. It's in stabilizing the weather systems that could take the
longest time. A few months after the planet is created, should enable
the calculations to achieve predictable results." He said, "How would
you create the planet?" I said, "After a pattern is programed, all the
atoms will be transported into place, almost instantly, from elemental
sources throughout the galaxy. Yes, even the fossil record would be
duplicated. That place would be the proper distance from the right kind
of star, with the proper orbital velocity and vector. That's the easy
part. Life, and the stable ecosystem, are more complicated. These
mechanical systems are easy. It's working with people that's the most
difficult. But then, rocks don't know love."
Captain said, "Will we be able to come back to this space?" I said,
"No. Such an accident isn't likely to happen again soon, and it's a er,
miracle you survived it. I think you are not able to understand how
unusual it was." He nodded and said, "Can we have something we can use
to contact you?" I said, "You have the same rules we do. Restriction.
Right. They never apply it to themselves. I've seen what happened even
to societies as advanced as yours, when they try to use tech much in
advance of their own. The rule is wise for ALL. Still, we will be
monitoring your governments. I tell you, I pity those of us who are
going to be bored almost to distraction for that." Chuckles. An Adept
was going to say something. I said in his ear, "Only you can hear this.
Save that for a private talk, later." He indicated agreement. I said to
the Captain, "So, where would you like to go?" He told me where, in his
coordinates. I said, "I suggest you inform your control room. When
you're ready, it will happen instantly." He did.
At his signal, I ported the ship to the proper orbit in his main
system in his home dimension. I said, "To prove that I'm not all
knowing, this is the first time I've transported a ship with an active
fusion power system. Before, they would have exploded. I learned
something from what happened to you." He had a lengthy conversation
with his bosses. Then he said to me, "My people would like to meet
you." I said, "They have already met my associate. If I meet with your
leader, I would have to do that with the other side. I don't have time
or desire to play politics. They do something bad, they WILL meet me,
but it sure won't be fun for them." He said, "Ah, what would that be?"
I said, "The war is over. Who starts it again will feel the pain and
death of their victims every hour for the rest of their lives, and will
not be allowed to kill themselves. Yes, I've applied this consequence
for the murder of entire planets." The Adept shouted, "No! You must
not!" They looked at him in surprise. I nodded to him, and he said, "To
apply that, he would have to feel it himself, and much more!" I said,
"I do what I must." They had their version of tears.
Science looked startled, and said, "All weapons gone. That included
ships with active screens?" I said, "Yes. And?" He said, "You could
have come aboard even when they were active." I said, "There are
different ways I can travel. One of them would have allowed that. Or I
could have turned them off remotely." He said, "You were testing us." I
said with a grin, "And you wouldn't have?" He chuckled and said, "Point
taken." I said, "Before I go, I offer my personal love." I glowed and
wrapped them with my Ki enhanced love, and ported home. When one of the
Adepts was alone in his room, I said in his ear, "This is Solomon. Yes,
we accept students, but as children. We qualify and choose, in secret.
Some species don't have any that qualify. Yours does, but your
environmentals aren't compatible with any of our schools. We'll have to
work on that. I think you realize that giving you extra planets isn't a
long term solution to your problems. You will need to change. We could
help with that, but we don't have the right to. Our students of your
people will make those decisions. And they will be applying the healing
to all your planets on a regular basis. I will hear even a whisper, if
you want to say something." He said, "You have answered my questions.
Not the first time?" I said, "Right." He said, "Are there any other
intelligent species in our galaxy?" I said, "Yes, there are. Going to
be some interesting times when you meet." He said, "Thank you. Please
accept my love." I did, and gave him mine, and said my farewell.
George said, "With the way you did things this time, I assume you're
delegating more. I'll have Rang work on setting up something for a
school." Daren nodded. I said, "See if any other lifeforms there have
candidates that are compatible with our schools. Faster making them
Seniors, and then they could act for us as locals to head off
inter-species conflicts. I've been doing too much myself. It was
holding you all back. You don't really need me, except to show
something extra with who I am. Remember, you're S Kids. You are just as
good as me in almost everything but life experience. Get some." They
agreed, with love.
I gave the report to the older exec committee. I said, "You couldn't
have monitored most of it, so we didn't consult." Mom said, "Unusual.
You stayed out of most of it." I said, "It was a simple matter. I
wasn't really needed, except for the technical. I'll help with the
planet creating when the time comes, but that should be all." Ivanna
said, "Will they actually occupy them?" I grinned and said, "Nope!"
Laughter and pokes, and a lot of love.
