Stephen's Secure Blog #435
These stories about Stephen began was when he was 10 years old, and
moving to a new part of the country to attend a special school for
gifted students, in the 1950's. This was from a time before computers
would fit on a desk, and when people communicated with friends in other
countries by actual letters sent through the postal service. He wrote
225 of them to a friend. He stopped writing to his penpal, but found he
still wanted to record his life, in case he lost his memory again, and
wrote 30 entries in his first logbook. Then he wrote to an artificial
intelligence called Geenee, in the master computer in his school for
gifted students, which he started attending in 2016. Now it's after
2018, and he's continuing to save his memories in a secure blog.
All characters are fictitious, even if some of them might have names
that belong to some actual people, or act like people we know.
The stories may not be posted in chronological order.
Stephen is 24 in this story, in Spring of year 14 of his special school.

At a meeting with the archeology people, I said, "If looks could
I give you, the more you have to have." Sharon said "Damn right!" More
laughter. I said, "This time it's just too big. It needs a central
repository so it can be available for all to study. If just one of you
has it all, it would be 30 years before the public could make sense of
it. And it covers a lot of disciplines, but only one, which is
information science, is needed to manage it, because it's all digital.
None of your establishments are set up for something this big. So, I've
given it to the University of Maryland IT department, to put on the
internet. They had the best resources for that. MIT had more expertise,
but not the available server capacity. Arguments?" Sharon said, "Not
from me, but when are we going to get your paintings of these things?
And the Met would want some, too." Nat Geo said, "And a 3D exploring
display." Yale said "Archeological site maps!" I handed out some
things, and said to Sharon, "Later, for you." They were satisfied. I
said "And here's more in North Africa and the Middle East." They liked
that! Nat Geo said, "We're ready to make public Nagindra capture
evidence." I said "Good. When you can do that for Attin, let me know."
They agreed.
At the April 1st love and healing broadcast, I had 12 Earth Guardians
with me. On the usual CNN show, Don said "I've got a list." I said "I
have a list too. Want to see it?" I projected it against the wall. Don
said "What?" I said "My list; Franz Liszt. One of his performances." He
said "Wow! Can you do that for other famous performances?" I said
"Maybe. I just thought of it now. Puns DO give me ideas. Hmm, your kind
of list doesn't usually survive well with me." He laughed, and said, "I
DO believe it! But we'll try. In a past show, you said that the woman
contributes in conception and before birth, more than the man. Please
explain that." I said "From my book on the subject which I wrote just
I said "Oh, there goes Chad again. He REALLY wants to see that book
right now! Well, he's a chemist and medical doctor. I just gave it to
him. To start with, just in size, the woman's egg is bigger than the
man's sperm that unites with it. They are equal in genetic
contribution, but that isn't all that influences the growth and
development of the fetus. The woman's body itself has multiple
significant influences on the fetus. Many of the woman's hormones,
their fluctuating intensities, and even the times of them, and her
specific nutritional states, can exert a large influence on the fetus,
causing different changes in the body and brain, depending on a lot of
factors. Affected are just about everything, from gross physical
differences, to profound differences in the brain that can
significantly effect the future personality of the child and adult. We
know that taking illegal drugs and alcohol to excess can detrimentally
effect the child, and that some formally prescribed drugs can cause
serous complications to the fetus in pregnancy, but those are just the
more noticeable effects. What I mentioned just before, are very
difficult to determine the exact cause of, because we can't experiment
on human beings to determine direct cause and effect."
Don said with interest, "Then how do you know enough about this to
write a book?" I said "What I know, is from watching millions of
pregnancies EXTREMELY closely, and by that, I mean down to the level of
the atom, for ten years in real time, and much more in time research.
Privacy was maintained. I've learned a WHOLE LOT about people this
way." He said "WOW!" I said "That was your loudest wow, ever." I rubbed
my ear, and he almost choked. I said "Don't be too surprised. You know
I love children more than anything. When I started this, I didn't know
there were going to be love broadcasts with healing in them." He said
"Now I understand better. Thank you." I said "One more thing about the
influence of the womb. Fetuses vary tremendously in different genetic
sensitivities to different chemical influences from the mother. I doubt
we will ever be able to usefully and safely control what we might want
to influence of what happens in the womb, and I think we shouldn't try.
The risk is too great for causing real harm, than any possible slight
benefit." He said "Yes, I understand. Let's go to break."
Off air, he said, "I really didn't expect THAT! I know, good. I
should stop saying that." I said "I don't expect that. Oh, there goes
Hawk." They laughed. Back on air, Don asked, "You have said you were an
Ambassador, and worked to get the Galactic Council and the
Confederation to exist peacefully with each other. Can you show us what
you did?" I said "I don't want to. In fact, I don't want to show any
more of what I did, anywhere. I don't want people to see me like that.
I'm a human being, not some superhero. That's duty. I do what I'm
supposed to do, what I have to do, but that's not really who I am. I
don't like to do those things. I want to be known for, and if possible,
liked, for being an artist, a musician, husband, a father, a teacher, a
real person who loves everybody. All that comes from who I REALLY am,
that I WANT to do. I am NOT a hero! That's just not who I am. People
think too highly of me already, and for the wrong reasons. It's not
good for them. It's not good for society. It's not good for me. Next
subject."
He looked shocked, and then read his list. He said "Shorter list now.
MUCH shorter." I said "Good!" He said "Does Pi ever end?" I said "No.
But my favorite is French Apple. What an unusual expression! I see you
want ME to explain YOUR question. Alright, but first, it's apple pie
with some raisins in it." He said "Oh. Sounds delicious. Now the math?"
I said "Look at the projection. The symbol pi is a mathematical
constant used in geometry, mostly involving circles, and has a lot of
continues indefinitely. There is no mathematical proof that can show a
finite solution. Therefore pi is an irrational number. Here are some
equations where it's used. Calculating the circumference of the circle
is probably the most known application. For more information, hit the
books."
Don was just about to ask another question, when I said, "There is
some breaking news. It won't reach you for a while. Want me to report
it?" He said "Please. Pictures too, if you can." I said "On the wall.
Aerial view first of a collision in the dark, artificially lit. Two
warships in the English Channel. American Destroyer, and a British
Cruiser, in joint fleet exercises. Both should have known better.
Darkness is nothing to radar and sonar." I gave more specific
information. Don said "That's a big hole! But why isn't it sinking?" I
said "Rose is keeping it afloat until all the crew are off of it. The
Captain and the British fleet Admiral, are a little annoyed with her,
but know better than to try to mess with her. The Admiral has met her
before. REALLY annoyed now." He laughed. He said "Can you tell us why?"
I said "They don't believe it will sink without her help, and there is
another problem. Our policy. We don't repair military equipment." He
said "Why?" I said "Can you imagine me fixing something that's meant to
kill people?"
He said "Oh! It's the same for ALL of you." I said "Yes. And we don't
allow pollution in our activities. That disabled ship is NOT going to
be allowed to sink as it is. When all are off it, she will port it to
where they designate, if it's where she approves. If not, she'll port
it to some less convenient place. MUCH less convenient for them, if I
know her." He laughed, and said, "I can believe that. She doesn't take
any backtalk from anybody." I said "Right, and even less from the
military. Oh no!" Don said "What?" She's been ordered to stop
assisting. The American Admiral is trying to convince the other Admiral
of the lack of wisdom in that course of action. The ship is sinking."
Don said "Wow, and fast!" I said "She ported all the people off. That's
a problem." Don said "Why is that a problem?" I said "Well, it's where
she put them. That other Admiral is a little boxed in right now,
surrounded by frightened seamen, like sardines in a tin. She's laughing
at my suggestion." Don said with interest, "What is it?" I said
"Coating them with really smelly fish oil." He laughed.
I said "Rose is asking again, where they want the ship. The angry
Admiral is saying she should let the, bad words ignored, thing sink to
the bottom. Rose is porting all the personal things to the ship's home
port, and is removing all pollutants. There it goes. It's deep enough
not to cause any traffic problems. Informed of that, the Admiral is
having second thoughts, if we can call them that. Profanity, is more
like it. I don't really have much of a problem with bad words in
general, but when they are used to replace good thinking, I do. His
boss back home is awake and watching all that Rose is showing him. I
think he's going to be looking for a replacement for somebody." Don
chuckled. I said "The American ship is damaged, but not badly enough to
be out of service. Rose gave them a complete report on it. She advised
seeking a port to make some temporary repairs, but not an English one
at this time." He chuckled, and said, "Who was at fault?" I said "We
should leave that to the foreign relations people, to create that
report." He said "Yes. We've seen that before. Could be some bad
feelings to work out in private." I said "Well, we know one who is in
desperate need of some anger management training." He laughed. Don said
"Why is Rose doing this, and not you?" I said "Well, she's done
something like this before, and our kids like to play with toy ships in
said loudly enough to be heard, "The action is over. Let's go to
break." Off air, he asked, "Really, why?" I said, "What I said. And how
all of us feel. We like to be useful and help. All the years we
couldn't be in the open, really hurt us more than we had realized."
Back from break, Don, looking at his list, said, "Does Bigfoot
mean, and you know it." I said "I haven't looked, so I can't say if
Bigfoot exists." He said "Will you look?" I said "No, I won't be
looking. I don't want to take all the fun away from people who ARE
looking. And that goes for other unsubstantiated possible creatures."
He said "Really a shorter list." I said, "You could ask that Captain.
make an attachment for a camera that can let it see psychic things like
auras?" I said "For which camera?" Len said in the air, which one. I
ported a slip on lens cover, over the one that was already in place. I
said "I can see on the monitor that it's working. Here, I'll make an
energy ball. Switch cameras back and forth. So it works. Interesting.
Alright." I removed the adapter. Don said "You didn't know it would
work?" I said "With psionic/real life interfaces, we don't know what
works until it actually does." He said "It's gone. You won't let us
have it?" I said "That's to be decided later." He said "What would be
the factors to consider in that?" I said "It can't be mass produced.
Only a Senior Adept can make it, if at all. To science, well, it's just
made of normal materials. They won't be able to know how it works. I
don't want them tearing their hair out in frustration. But if I had a
Don said "Can life exist in space?" I said "Yes, life can exist in
space, and modern science already knows that. Spores. Astronauts are in
space, too. What are they, if not alive?" He said "I guess the question
wasn't the wisest I've ever asked." I just grinned. He said "Rose just
rescued people from a sinking ship. How did she know it was sinking?" I
said "For her first naval rescue, I noticed on YOUR network, that a
submarine was in trouble. I asked Rose if she would like to help, and
she jumped on it. Ever since then, she's had a light background scan
going on for the whole Earth, for naval er, mishaps. We like helping
people in emergencies." He said "Have you or your students done things
like this in the past?" I said "Yes, we've helped in accidents and
disasters, starting in my last life. But in secret. We would still be
doing things only in secret, if I hadn't had to come out in the open to
free Tibet, and to explain the love broadcasts."
He said "Why be in secret?" I said "You should know why we were
secret, and should still be. People are afraid of us, who are
frighteningly powerful. Many resent us. It's not good for them, and for
US, to have and cause that feeling. It really hurts us, that the people
we love can't understand and accept, that being who we are, we can't
want to hurt anybody." He saw my tears, but persisted with, "Those I
know of you, can't. I know that. But what if some come around who can?"
I said "That is our first duty. We protect people from US, and those
who are like us. Nobody as powerful as our Senior Adepts, which are
those who have achieved the level where they can port, and fully
manipulate matter with their minds, has ever been less than fully
clear. We just can't have those abilities until we ARE clear, and that
means having no hate, jealously, prejudice, and we can't lie. That
applies to the entire galaxy. Zander is that way. All our students at
that level are that way. So, by necessity, all others who are able to
hurt people are less skilled than we are. When we find them doing
something bad, we remove their psionic abilities."
I said "I doubt you can ever understand how much it hurts us to do
that, but we do it because we must. We are the only ones who can. We
have done that a lot on Nagindra. We have done that on Earth. In my
last life, when we didn't know as much as we know now, I almost died of
severe injuries in battles with Dark Adepts. And in some past lives, I
did die in such fights. Not often, though. Do you remember the flying
kick in the Temple in China, that was caused by a past life in the
Monk?" He said "I remember you showing us that." I said "That was what
had happened. He was a Dark Adept then, and I was of The Light. We
fought. I won rather easily then, which could have been a cause of some
irritation in him. He eventually died of his injuries. My own abilities
were affected by using them like that, and it was three months before I
fully recovered their use. If he had died right then, I would have lost
all my abilities for good, and might even have died, myself. REALLY bad
karma to kill somebody for any reason." He said "Wow!" I said "That's
REALLY not what he said." He laughed, and said, "Let's go to break."
Off air, Don said, "I'm sorry, I did it again. You really ARE a hero,
a thousand times over, no matter how you feel about it. And I made you
show that again. I'm sorry, but I think it's not possible to discuss
you, and your past lives without that." I said "We could stop?" He said
"If you feel that strongly about it, you might have to. I think you
know what Len is saying." I said "Sure do, and how loud, too." He had
to laugh. Rose said in the air, "As an Ambassador, he went to the
Confed, expecting to be beat up, and maybe killed. AND HE LET THEM BEAT
HIM. That was the plan. We had to have justification to take serious
action against them. Yes, he would have died for the mission, and told
us that, because they weren't to know, or the GC, what we could do.
That's why he doesn't want to talk about it on air. MUCH too heroic."
Don said "Wow!" And then we were back on air. There was silence for a
while.
Don said, "A lot of politicians and government watchdogs complain
about and say they want to reduce waste, abuse, and fraud in
government. What are your thoughts on that, most specifically as
relates to Social Security?" I said "Is that on your list?" He said,
"No, I just thought of it." I said "Well done! You beat the list. I see
you're embarrassed. Good." He laughed. I said "Pointing to publicly
noticed government abuse, waste, and fraud, is easy to do, and VERY
tempting to overdo, for political points. But saying you are going to
eliminate all of it if you get elected or appointed, well, while it
might sound really good to the uninformed, those who understand reality
will know those who promise that are either fools or liars. No system
in real life is perfect. There will always be problems with it,
including those things which are impossible to totally illuminate short
of stopping the whole thing cold. Even trying to do that, is bad, and
will make things worse." He said "We shouldn't try to stop abuse of
programs?" I said "Right. Stop, no. Reduce as much as feasible, yes."
He said "Oh, I see. Don't work for the impossible, because an
impossible goal can make possible goals less achievable." I said "Wow!
I couldn't have said that better! That's REALLY wise!" He looked really
embarrassed. I said to the camera, "Maybe we can get him to answer his
own questions well, too." Don came back with, "I've been learning from
YOU, and it's been quite an education!" I said "That's what teachers
are for. And to continue with that, ever heard of the law of
diminishing returns?"
Don said "Yes. It means, in general, too much of a good thing, can be
a bad thing. I think I know where you're going. We shouldn't spend more
on the reducing of the abuse, than we can afford to take away from the
program." I said "Right. If Social Security looses 100 million dollars
a year to abuse, it is bad business to spend more than that to try to
stop it, or you will actually loose more money than if you had done
very little. There has to be a fine balance in this, in money lost,
versus the cost of investigating and preventing it. And this is true
for ALL systems, government and business. Anybody who says it isn't, is
either ignorant, and shouldn't be in government OR business, or is
lying, and still shouldn't be anywhere near a responsible position.
It's true for fighting crime, too, but sometimes in a different way. A
too repressive police presence, causes so much resentment, it can can
actually cause MORE crime. Yes, strange world we live in. To be
successful, we need to understand and work within that framework, even
though it looks counter intuitive."
Don said "We're out of time. This has been a very interesting and
educational hour. Thank you Stephen, for being here." I said "You're
welcome, my self described student." He laughed. Len announced, "Off
air, and closed." He came into the studio, as Rose ported in. They
congratulated her on a job well done. She said "Should have used that
fish oil." We laughed. She said to me, "Kids in the bath! I almost
cracked up at that one. Would have been embarrassing trying to explain
that to the Admiral." I said "I'm almost sorry." She hugged and kissed
me, "I know. Good one." Len said "He really would have let them kill
him?" She played back that part of the meeting, and the backhand on the
ship. I said "I could have done very well without reliving that."
Another hug and kiss. I said "Maybe I should complain some more." She
poked me, and they laughed.
I said "I really don't see much reason for continuing these shows.
What you really want to know, I don't want to say, and for good
reasons. You should know that if I should say something, I would, no
matter how much I didn't want to. I do much worse than that almost all
the time. Oh, and about helping with disasters. During the show, 14
miners survived, and will be rescued from a cave in, who wouldn't have,
if I hadn't secretly helped. Can you guess why I don't rescue them
completely?" Don said "The big picture. If we depended on you for that,
they wouldn't use good safety procedures. That must really hurt!" Len
said "Like allowing global warming. I'm very glad I'm not you! Oh, that
sounded awful." I said, "No problem. I feel the same. Those things I
want to be known for, I like doing. The other stuff is just duty, even
if I do like helping. I do what I should do. I shouldn't have credit
for that." Rose said to me, "You really aren't going to convince
anybody of that, not even your students." I said with fake sadness, "So
little respect." She poked me, and said, "Made up with love." I said
Chad said, "Bath time is fun, though." I said "Yes, but Kamala is
having a problem playing submarine." Rose said, "But her solution is
inspired." Chad said, while laughing, "At least she put the crayon in
to equal the length of Sol's personal periscope." Hawk said "Longer
lasting, though." We agreed. And then we did something similar, with a
lot of love.
