Stephen's Secure Blog #357
These stories about Stephen began was when he was 10 years old, and
moving to a new part of the country to attend a special school for
gifted students, in the 1950's. This was from a time before computers
would fit on a desk, and when people communicated with friends in other
countries by actual letters sent through the postal service. He wrote
225 of them to a friend. He stopped writing to his penpal, but found he
still wanted to record his life, in case he lost his memory again, and
wrote 30 entries in his first logbook. Then he wrote to an artificial
intelligence called Geenee, in the master computer in his school for
gifted students, which he started attending in 2016. Now it's after
2018, and he's continuing to save his memories in a secure blog.
All characters are fictitious, even if some of them might have names
that belong to some actual people, or act like people we know.
The stories may not be posted in chronological order.
Stephen is 18 in this story, in Summer of year 8 of his special school.

Rose and I are having some fun in trying to have children. But that
fun isn't anything new. Her fertile period is approaching. During it,
we expect to keep a watch on the little wigglers, to see if any of them
score. There was a lot of talk about the files of Jesus, but not with
as much heat as we expected. Still not made public yet. The Cardinals
think differently about their Pope now. They have more respect for him,
after he told them what I had advised him to say. They locked up their
copy of the files, unwilling to be the first to make them public. The
Pope gave them my note telling them that they could score a lot of
points if they did it first, in this unfortunate situation, before
somebody else did, if they had the courage. They didn't, but did reply
with thanks for my advice. Paolo has volunteered to be the Cardinal's
spy on me. He didn't lie, but made them think he doesn't approve of me,
and wants to find something, anything, they can use against me.
Instead, he's building support from some moderate Priests at his level,
by being very fair and objective about me to them. They see how wise he
is. Entirely separately, he is undermining the Cardinals who had most
opposed me and the Pope, by circulating rumors of their underhanded
activities. He is needing less advice from me on that, but I'm still
giving him ammunition.
I did the usual fireworks and love broadcast on the 4th of July, and
there was healing. A week later, we did the usual CNN show. Don said
"Before we start on recent events, I want to bring us up to date on
some past events. The Drug Interdiction on the border with Mexico has
been a great success! Thank you very much, Stephen!" I said "Ah, er,
you're welcome. I didn't expect such a tone from you." He said "Good!"
We chuckled. He said, "Arrests have dropped off dramatically, now that
they know the drugs just won't pass. There have been less murders of
innocent people in Mexico, too. More among the cartels, though." I said
"There is more. They are now trying to move more by sea, but the Coast
Guard was prepared for that, and are doing a great job in reducing
that. Great people doing a tough job with not enough resources. They
should receive much more recognition than they do. I say to all the
fine members of the Coast Guard, I really appreciate the hard work you
do day and night, to help keep America safe and secure, and free of
illegal drugs! Oh, and to the drug traffickers; there is no way you are
ever going to dig a tunnel deep enough to evade the drug barrier. So,
stop endangering yourselves by trying. If you need to dig your own
graves, all you need is two meters." Don said "Wow!" I said "I have to
admit, Don, I kind of like surprising you." He laughed.
He said "The files on Jesus still haven't been released to the
public." I said "I'm aware of that. I won't have anything else to say
about it that I haven't already said, until the situation changes. I
have to admit that I don't think too badly of frustrating you a little,
too." He almost choked.
He said "I have something new to report. Birth defects are down. Way
down. We think it's because of the healing broadcasts." I said "I
didn't know. I missed that, probably because the mothers' feelings
overshadowed the fetuses'. Thank you for letting the world know." I
wiped some tears. He said "That could also relate to the fewer
abortions we have noticed." I said "Good." He said "What is your
opinion on abortion as an issue?" I said "I will never have an
abortion." He said "In general." I said "As a man, who will never have
to face that kind of decision about my body that a woman must, I don't
He said "Go on, please." I said "I may shock some people, but I feel
that death is not a bad thing. It can't be, because all things in the
material world that live, die, and our souls, which are anchored in the
spirit reality, can never die. Most of us are born again, and again,
into new lives. I deliberately reincarnated into this life before I
really needed to, for some important reasons, and to enjoy a new life
as a child again. Which I did, and very well. So, I believe death is a
good thing. But causing death is a bad thing, and deciding it for other
people, is a VERY bad thing, for two related reasons. It is not our
right to cause the death of another person, except in defense of our
lives, because only fate or God, depending on your individual beliefs,
has that right. But even though it can sometimes be our right to kill
another, such an act severely harms our spirits. And that is even if we
are justified. Those who kill will suffer for it in this life and the
next. Sometimes we need to choose between evils in our lives, and then
have to face the consequences. Abortion is such a thing. But we are
given free wills, so we must choose."
Don said "I didn't expect all that. What of the debate over when a
fetus becomes human?" I said "I can't resolve that, because
biologically and spiritually, it varies with each pregnancy, when a
fetus should be considered a human being. There is no regular specific
set time that a fetus acquires a soul, or can survive outside of the
body. But I can say this. The longer the fetus lives, the greater the
damage to the spirit of those who would cause its death." He said
"Would you prohibit abortion?" I said "I am not able prohibit abortion
because that is a legal matter, not a spiritual matter. However, I
would strongly advise against an abortion in most cases, for the
reasons I've mentioned." He said "And in some cases you would not
advise against it?" I said "Not strongly advise against it, sometimes.
If a woman is so traumatized by the pregnancy and possibly what caused
it, that she would kill herself rather than have the baby, a choice
must be made. The living have priority over the might live. If a woman
feels so strongly that she will seek an abortion no matter what, even
to the extent of performing it herself on her own body, I cannot
justify preventing her from having it done safely. In cases where
competent medical opinion states that the health or life of the mother
is endangered by the pregnancy, I would support the abortion, but with
great sadness."
He said "Some parents would abort a fetus with birth defects, to save
the child from a suffering life." I said "They are mistaken in one way,
and may be wrong in another, regarding the abortion of a fetus for
survivable birth defects. One will always wonder how much of their
motivation was because of the inconvenience in all ways they would have
faced in raising such a child, and how deprived they and their other
children could be from that situation. And in some cultures, great
shame is associated with having a disabled child. These are very
serious issues to consider, and some families have not survived intact
because of them. The other part to consider, is that they may be wrong
in saving the child from the suffering that life alone will bring it.
It might not suffer as much as they think, and it might NEED to suffer
to some extent, for bad deeds committed in a past life. Aborting that
possible required suffering will just postpone it to the next life,
delaying the progression of that spirit toward enlightenment. But I'm
not saying that we should ever specifically cause intentional suffering
to anybody in accordance with what we may think is God's will. That is
wrong. We should not presume to know God's will for other people. Or
for us. What is best for us, is to act with compassion and justice in
every thing."
He said "Reincarnation. That was not something I would have thought
of. Some argue against all abortions, because a genius like Einstein
might never be born." I said "I met him in my previous life. A funny
and kind man. Unfortunately, he is used falsely. Monsters like Hitler
are much more likely to be born, than a genius like Dr. Einstein, in
just calculating the odds, and not counting what an unloved life can
cause unwanted children to become. So, that argument is wrong, even
though I appreciate the sentiment, and not just because I happen to be
a genius myself. To those who strongly oppose abortion, I say, I agree
with you with my emotions, but in some ways, I disagree with you in
practice, because I care for ALL people. And one more thing. Put your
life where your voice is. You have no credibility in trying to force
women to bear unwanted children, if you do not adopt and raise such
children with love and care as your own. Children are waiting NOW. Be a
good example for all to follow. Live what you say, or do not say it."
We broke for a commercial. Len said in the air, "We missed a break
because I didn't want to interrupt you. When we return, you'll have
only two minutes." We came back, and Don said, "We only have a minute.
How was your wedding?" I said "My wedding was wonderful. Rose and I
really enjoyed meeting with all our guests, and I think they liked
meeting with each other, which we think is a very good thing. We had a
great time, and we are still having a great time in married life. As
er, often as possible. I love your interesting expressions." He almost
choked. He said "Thank you, Stephen, for being with us." I said "You're
welcome. We should do it again sometime." He said "Oh we will!" We went
off air.
When Len came in, I said, "If you were hoping for another tirade
They laughed. Len said "I think what you said about abortion is very
important, and something only you could have said. Well balanced, and
without fanaticism. I hope and think it will make a difference." Don
said "I like the last part. Your jab at the loudmouth hateful
fanatics." I said "I tried. Hawk liked it, and so did Rose. As always,
Chad would have liked something more outrageous." They laughed
I said "Next love broadcast is scheduled for September first. Want
some questions for the next time?" Len said "Stupid question!" I said
expressions mean anything." They laughed. I said "The evolution issue,
is one." Len said "I wonder why we didn't think of it?" I said "Er, not
evolved enough?" Chuckles. I said "Is one race better than another? Is
there any real evidence that aliens from space ever visited the Earth
and helped people build things like the pyramids? I think you might not
have enough time to ask all those questions in one show." Don said "Do
you know the answers?" I said with a grin, "That you'll just have to
find out when our audience does. It's a good thing looks don't kill, or
it wouldn't be safe around you until you had plastic surgery." They had
more.
