Stephen's Secure Blog #307
These stories about Stephen began was when he was 10 years old, and
moving to a new part of the country to attend a special school for
gifted students, in the 1950's. This was from a time before computers
would fit on a desk, and when people communicated with friends in other
countries by actual letters sent through the postal service. He wrote
225 of them to a friend. He stopped writing to his penpal, but found he
still wanted to record his life, in case he lost his memory again, and
wrote 30 entries in his first logbook. Then he wrote to an artificial
intelligence called Geenee, in the master computer in his school for
gifted students, which he started attending in 2016. Now it's after
2018, and he's continuing to save his memories in a secure blog.
All characters are fictitious, even if some of them might have names
that belong to some actual people, or act like people we know.
The stories may not be posted in chronological order.
Stephen is 17 in this story, in Summer of year 7 of his special school.
Stephen's Secure Blog #307 "Gallery Visits Tibet"
START Page
In the gallery back room after the event, were some people I had
asked to stay. There were the PBS couple, the Priest from the golf
event, and the woman from State, and still, the art school owner and
the President of China. I said to the group, "Some of us had planned to
visit the art school in Tibet now, and my house in the city. The others
here who didn't know that, are invited to join us. Instant
transportation will be provided both ways, and your comforts will be
fully supported. So, who wishes to come?" State said, "I can't pass
this up. Can I call it in, first?" I said "Sure, but I advise you not
to. They may tell you to wait for company, and we aren't going to
wait." She said "Right. Let's go." I looked to the Priest, and he said,
"Where you allow, I will go." I said "Who here didn't expect those
answers?" Some laughter.
I handed out some pendants, and said, "Please put these on, and do
NOT take them off while you are in Tibet. It's at a VERY high altitude,
and such an abrupt transition from this location, can do some bad
things to your health. The pendants will keep the current air pressure
here for you, over there, and the temperature, too. The people of Tibet
are warm, but their climate isn't. Most there don't speak English. For
an extended stay, I can give you the language, but it can take some
weeks to be fully active. I did that for some of the CNN crew. If
anybody needs to use the facilities here, I recommend that happen now,
before we leave." Some went, and came back. I said "There is one more
thing. In politeness, I think some introductions are in order." I
introduced the President of China, and all the others, and said, "His
visit here is VERY unofficial. Please don't make it public. Rose will
be accompanying us, which she just found out now." Hawk laughed. I said
"Don't pay attention to him. He laughs at practically everything I
say." He laughed again. I said "See?" More laughter, and from the
others, too.
I tossed Rose a pendant, which she put on. We both knew it was just
for show. I said "Ready?" I ported us to the atrium at the school. It
was daylight, and the dragon sparkled. They were amazed. The owner gave
the tour. At the end, she sent for the students who had given us their
art. When they were present, I told them about the gallery event, and
projected some images of it, and the people. Then I said, "All of your
work sold. Here is the money you have earned. Thank you for making my
gallery event such a success." I handed it out. The Monk gave his to
the owner, who was very moved. I wrapped them in my love. They bowed
very low, which I returned. Then they were sent back to class. The
Priest said, "I didn't expect to see a Monk here." I said "My
discovery. When he wasn't accepted here because of lack of room, I
started supporting the school a little ahead of schedule. The situation
has improved a little." That earned me some smiles. I said "He lives at
the Monastery where my house is, and studies in the evening." The owner
said, "He is very well respected here, for his genius at art, and his
kind nature." Rose said, "Stephen sure knows how to pick the best." I
said to her, "People aren't flowers." She said "Good, or we would all
be stung by bees." We laughed.
I said "Now to decide the next part of this. I invite all of you to
my house here in Tibet, where I'll be showing the TV studio to the
couple from PBS. If you want to attend, please say so. If you don't,
that's fine, too." They all wanted to come. Rose said to me, "You knew
that." I said "But it was polite to ask." She nodded. We ported there,
and I gave the tour. During that, I said, "I built this for the CNN
crew to stay and work in. I stayed with them here as host, but I don't
stay here other times. I have houses all over, mostly for meetings and
things, and stay where it is convenient and polite. My art workshop is
in a different location." State wanted to know where it was. I said to
her, "I knew YOU would ask that." She laughed. I said "Did you think I
would tell you?" She said "No, but it was worth trying." I said "I
wonder if I should frustrate you some more, by actually telling you."
She said, "You just accomplished that, even without telling me." My
grin made her laugh. I said "All you need to know is that my workshop
isn't in America, or anywhere else where anybody will make any trouble
for it. I could take you to it, but you still wouldn't know where it
is." She said "Why is that?" I said "Well, you wouldn't know where this
house is, if I hadn't told you." She looked very surprised. The
President laughed, and then apologized, and said, "I've had to accept
Stephen's surprises, often, and they were very disruptive. I sympathize
with you." They bowed to each other. She said "I know what you mean. It
MUST have been a big shock to see him as a giant, crush and spike a
tank into a wall." He said "Absolutely!" They laughed with each other.
I said "Now we have to decide on who goes where." They each told me,
and I sent them there, after the group farewells. I ported their
pressure pendants away from them as soon as they arrived. Without
exception, they were disappointed with that, which made Hawk laugh
again, and Rose. We went back to the gallery to help close it up. I
ported all my remaining things there, to my home gallery on Allguard,
for safekeeping. Then I said, "I have a few hours before I need to be
in Vienna for rehearsals. There is a pool party happening on Allguard.
I was thinking about joining them. Anybody want to er, come along?"
There were some stupid question comments.
Rose, Hawk, Chad, and I, ported to my house there, and stripped, and
ported to the big pool, and jumped in. Both Angrala's and Zander's
schools were there, just starting to swim. We were made very welcome,
by both school masters, the teachers, and the students who knew us. The
remainder were awed, but game for a little fun, which we all really
had. Then into the hot tub area we went. That was really fun. More so
when they felt what I felt, from the Hopchers working their tails on me
under the water. After almost too much of that, we all got out and went
under the blue light stations to get dry, and then onto the soft play
areas. All those with fur were all over the humans and cousins, and
were driving all of us wild in the link. Then I yelled out to Minster,
who had two Hopchers on him, "Hey Minster! I didn't know you were like
me!" He said "I'm not complaining!" That earned some laughter. He was
just as sensitive to ball licking as I was, and EVERYBODY liked to feel
that in the link. We all finished very well. While we were resting, I
called out, "Minster! Still no complaints?" He said, "I'm too tired to
think of an answer." A lot of weak laughter. I said "Too tired to start
this again?" He said with renewed energy, "I didn't say that!" More
laughter. Soon, we actually did start it again, but slow and easy,
building it up to a really great climax, and into a second of all
knowing unity. When we recovered, some had progressed, including two
newly opened Third Eyes. I congratulated all of them personally.
Then I hugged each of them in turn, with all my love. Hahchet and
Ginging helped them away. Minster was last. I kept him from falling
after my hug, and said, "I'm very happy for you, for your development.
And the other thing. Or should that be things?" He giggled. I said "Did
you know there is another with the same sensitivity? Yes, and he's only
a little older than you. One of my most powerful students. He's
teaching on my planet. Someday soon, I think you two will meet. Then
maybe the whole galaxy will squirt oceans." He laughed really hard, and
so did those who heard us, including Hawk, naturally. Then we all
gathered around, and we traded stories about our schools and
activities. They laughed a lot when I told them what I had done in
China. Rose showed them movies of some of that, and of my making things
in Tibet. One said, "They look better than what you did here." Before
they could reprimand her, I said, "That's true. I've improved. And it's
very important. It shows that there is no end to improvement, and that
we should keep trying. There is no such thing as 'good enough.' There
is always better, just waiting to be discovered. Personally, I like
that!" That earned some approving comments.
After the students went home, we had a conference in my living room.
Zander said, "Please don't wait so long for the next time They need to
love you." I said "I've been very busy. I don't expect to sleep this
week, but I'll try to make time for this. It's not as if I hate it."
Hawk laughed. Angrala said, "Your recording really helped the other
parents, and the students, too. I think it's making a difference in our
society, as well. They couldn't keep what you said to themselves." Rose
said "Do you think he knew that would happen?" She grinned and said,
"Oh yes! My students were eager to come to the pool party, even though
they knew there would be people not like themselves in it. As you saw,
there was no sign of prejudice." Pizlocher said "I think my people
might have had something to do with that." She said with a grin,
"Absolutely! How I used to be, would never have said this, but I wish I
had your very useful tail." He grinned in a face splitting way,
"Anytime!" She said, embarrassed, "I didn't mean it that way. Hmm, but
We all hugged with love, before going our separate ways, pledging to
keep more in touch. I ported to Vienna in a very good mood. Well, it
had been a far from bad day. The musicians noticed, and responded with
extra enthusiasm, which did show a marked difference in the results of
the practice. At the end, I said, "I think we are now ready for the
first concert. Before we started this, I was doubtful that any
orchestra could learn to play my first symphony in an acceptable way. I
should not have doubted you. We WILL do it WELL, together, as the
premier team we are." The new concert master, who had been second
violinist, said, "I speak for all, when I say that you have made us
what we are today. We could not have risen to this level without you.
Thank you very much." I bowed, and wrapped them in all my love.
