Stephen's Secure Blog #291
These stories about Stephen began was when he was 10 years old, and
moving to a new part of the country to attend a special school for
gifted students, in the 1950's. This was from a time before computers
would fit on a desk, and when people communicated with friends in other
countries by actual letters sent through the postal service. He wrote
225 of them to a friend. He stopped writing to his penpal, but found he
still wanted to record his life, in case he lost his memory again, and
wrote 30 entries in his first logbook. Then he wrote to an artificial
intelligence called Geenee, in the master computer in his school for
gifted students, which he started attending in 2016. Now it's after
2018, and he's continuing to save his memories in a secure blog.
All characters are fictitious, even if some of them might have names
that belong to some actual people, or act like people we know.
The stories may not be posted in chronological order.
Stephen is 17 in this story, in spring of year 7 of his special school.
Stephen's Secure Blog #291 "CNN in Lhasa"
START Page
I ported to Dharamsala. In the PMs office I said, "It went well.
Thank you." He bowed and grinned, and said, "Not so well for you with
the Dalai Lama." I said "Yes, but well for the country. I have no
complaints. Please tell him I said that." He said "I will."
I ported to Rhamcha's office. We sat. I said "The CNN crew is in my
house now, after a trip to Dharamsala to see the Exiles, and the Dalai
Lama." He said "Srinoy showed projections. It went well." I said "Yes,
so far. We will do more tomorrow morning, in and around Lhasa. I would
like you to accompany us and guide them, if you agree." He said "I am
honored." I said "No, they will be." He grinned. I said "When we visit
here, I would like them to meet Eli, so the world will know I and my
people will be teaching in Tibet for real, and that is not an empty
promise." He said "Good idea. And if they ask if he is a Buddhist?" I
grinned, and he laughed. He said "You want to show diversity and
cooperation." I said "Is that such a bad thing?" We hugged with love.
I asked Eli in contact if it was alright with him for what I had in
mind. He thought it was a good idea. I asked about what his parents and
fellow Fundamentalists would think about it. He just laughed. So I did
too.
I ported to the police station, and said to the Captain, "The CNN
crew is here and in my house. Can the lieutenant be available starting
at 8AM tomorrow?" He said "Yes he will. Where should he be?" I said "I
can port him from here." He said "Good." I said "I want the world to
see how good the people of Tibet are, so they will want to come here as
tourists and to be students here. Needed for the economy." He said "I
understand and support that all the way. Ask for anything we can
provide." I said "A bird who likes fat people?" We laughed together.
I left a message glowing in the air in the living room, to find me in
the basement gym when they got up. I started my usual workout at 5AM.
At 7:30, Len came down and almost bugged his eyes out when he saw the
gym, and what I was doing in it. I was in kickboxing shorts, and
kicking a heavy bag across the room, and porting it back in place.
Doing that with punches, too. I stopped, and said, "Good morning, Len."
He partially recovered, and said, "Good morning Stephen." I said
"You're looking a little odd." He almost choked. He said "Do you do
this often?" I said "Working out? Sure. Minimum two hours every day."
He said "You didn't show us this yesterday." I said "Wasn't here. I put
it in this morning. Next floor down is a swimming pool. Want to see?"
He did, so we went down there and looked. He exclaimed, "Beautiful!" I
said "Thank you. Want a dip?" I dived in and swam around. He said "Er,
no, thank you. Maybe later." I said "Alright. If you need them, extra
trunks in the locker room over there. Usually at home, I don't wear
anything. We who see all, inside and out, without eyes, find that
covering up is useless, and so don't bother. Much better hugs that way,
too." I dolphin swam up and out of the pool, and went under the blue
light cleaner. Then I ported a blue suit onto me. His eyes almost
popped out again. I said "I note your reactions. Do I need to hide what
is normal for me, from you?" He gulped, and said, "I hope not. I'll
make myself get used to it." I grinned, and said, "That's the spirit!"
On the way up the stairs, I said, "A healthy and disciplined body helps
create and maintain a healthy and disciplined mind. You REALLY want me
to have that, when we are porting." He said "Absolutely!" We grinned at
each other.
We joined the others at breakfast. I had a lot, and they noticed. I
said, "Comments?" Don said, "That's a lot of food." I looked at Len,
and he said, "Stephen just finished working out down stairs in the gym
that wasn't there yesterday. Two hours, which even five minutes of
would be impossible for an ordinary man." One said "Not a vegetarian?"
I said "For me, that's a little complicated." Len almost choked. I said
"For Buddhists, it's compliance with the doctrine against taking lives,
not for health reasons. My food machines synthesize what they make from
elemental sources, from the basic atoms. None of this was ever living,
but an exact duplicate of what was originally scanned. So, I don't eat
animals, or even real vegetables. Therefore, no killing, not even of
plants. In restaurants, I replace all the food which is served me, with
my own duplicates, instantly, adjusted to my own taste. I don't like
things too spicy. Yes, I can do what the food makers do. I can set
independent parts of my mind to act like computers, and run very
complicated programs which can be used to operate my unusual abilities
automatically. I and my students will be teaching such mind training
here in Tibet." Don said "Wow!" I said "Absolutely!" Some chuckles. I
said "Want another wow maker?" Len said "Absolutely!" We laughed. I
said "We have already started teaching that, and you might be meeting
my student who is doing that, today." I cupped my ear to encourage
them, and did receive some wows. I nodded in appreciation, and they
laughed.
I said "It hardly ever gets warm in Tibet. Not much precipitation,
either. I recommend a light jacket, and accessible sunglasses. Don,
when you speak to anybody, please remember to remove your sunglasses.
It's easy to forget." When they were ready, we went outside. I said "I
will port two people to us now." I did, and made the introductions, and
informed the crew that they knew English. Don said "Should I assume you
taught them like you did me?" I said "Partly. I did help them improve
some. Now you have to choose how you want to do this. You can wander
around this Monastery, the Temple just outside of it, and the city
proper and improper. Also, I can take some of you up in the air to get
some spectacular aerial shots. I could describe what the cameras point
to, from up there, if you want. You can always edit that, just so you
don't make me sound like a chipmunk." They laughed.
I made the platform of fully transparent quartz crystal, with a wall
around the edge a meter tall. Attached to that were anchor points for
safety harnesses. I said "Those who go up must put them on, and connect
to the platform. There is no actual need for that, because even if you
do manage to fall out, I'll grab you and put you back in. It's for your
peace of mind, even if you don't think it will have that effect. I'll
retrieve anything else you might drop over the side, except dandruff."
They laughed. The Lieutenant stayed with Len on the ground. I let him
feel my appreciation of that, which surprised him. There was a door in
the crystal wall, and we used that to get onto the platform. They all
connected but Rhamcha, but he did have a tight grip on the wall. Don
said to me, "You aren't connected." I said "I knew that." He grinned,
and said, "You aren't going to let me forget that." I said "Believe me,
I've said a lot worse, that my friends like to remind me of. No, I'm
NOT going to tell you, of all people!" They all laughed. I said "No
matter how fast we go, there won't be much wind. The platform has a
shield which reduces that. It will also keep the air pressure steady,
and provide a partial sunscreen. Ready?" They were, so I rose us up
into the air, describing what the cameras saw.
When they were ready to go down, I said to Rhamcha, "The platform
will stay where it is, doing what it is set to do, unless it is
directed to do something else. This little box in the corner is the
controller. You've already had some lessons in our mind management
techniques, so you should be able to operate this platform, easily. Use
your controlled thoughts at it, to make it do what you want. How about
down a little, to start?" It went smoothly down. He grinned really
wide. Then it went sideways in different directions. I said "You can
also make it tilt, but I recommend you don't try that with passengers
on it. Take us down now, to where we started from?" He did that. After
landing, I said, "Well done!" His grin almost split his face in half. I
said "I'll tell Eli you are ready for the next level. I didn't think it
was possible for you to grin any wider." He laughed. He already had
both rings. I referred to the belt he qualified for. We got off, and
Don told Len what Rhamcha did, and what I said about it.
They decided to wander around the Jokhang Monastery. I was bowed very
deeply to, a lot. All the Monks they questioned were very polite and
talked well, but not in English. Then they went into the Temple. The
Abbot there, showed them around. He talked about me a little too much.
Don talked to some tourists from the US, England, and France. I
translated for the Japanese tourists. Then they went out into the
square where the big Wheel of Life was, and interviewed more tourists.
Then the Abbot just had to tell them about what happened with me and
the official. There was some laugher, with some annoyance on my part.
After that, I said, "That official is now a friend, and a dedicated
supporter of Tibet. Thinner too." The Abbot grinned.
When they were finished, I said, "Options for today are, wandering
around the city of Lhasa, visiting the Potala Palace, which is a very
big fancy building which used to be the residence of the Dalai Lama,
and the government, and is still used by the current government, and is
also a museum. And visiting Sera Monastery, where Rhamcha is from, just
outside of the city. And don't forget lunch and personal maintenance
things." That reminded them, so we all went back to my house to use the
bathrooms. I showed the Lieutenant and Rhamcha my house. I said to
Rhamcha, "I put the basement in this morning, so I could do my exercise
and still be available to them." The Lieutenant said, "What kind of
exercises do you do?" I said "All kinds, including personal combat. Len
caught me at this in the morning, and almost popped his eyes out." I
kicked a heavy bag across the room. He went over to it, and found it
was too heavy for him to pick it up. I did that, easily. At his
surprise, I said, "I train REALLY hard." He nodded in awe. Back
upstairs he said, "Where does all this art come from?" I said "Me. I'm
making a lot of money for Tibet, selling the art I make. Seven million
dollars last week, at my gallery show." The crew were back then, and
all said, "Wow!" I said "Even my accountant said that." They laughed. I
said "My manager said, 'Make more!'" More laughter. They decided to
stay and have lunch. The Lieutenant was really surprised at how we did
that.
They decided to see the Palace first, so I ported us to just in front
of it. We went in, and saw all the museum rooms. It took a while, and
with a lot of stair climbing. Then I took them to the office of my
friendly official. He gave them a very good interview, and surprised
Don with his complete honesty. I asked him to tell Don about that,
which he did, causing Don to be speechless for a short while. I said
"Congratulations! You made Don speechless! Rival networks and
interviewees have been trying to do that for years." They all laughed,
"I'll see." The official took us on a tour of the government offices.
Then we left the Palace, and wandered the streets. Don conducted more
interviews. Then I took them into the police station, and Don
interviewed the Captain. Then we decided to eat at a restaurant. They
wouldn't let us pay. I insisted, and they refused. I made and gave them
a jade flowerpot, and they had to accept that. Well, it was too big to
cary away. Len said, "Now they're all going to want flowerpots." I said
"Possibly. Here's why I gave some to Shaolin." I told them, and they
laughed. I said "He still has the signs in them. Said because they
don't need watering." Chuckles. Lieutenant said "Did you do fighting
arts with them there?" I said "Yes. And recorded specifically for
poking some government officials with. Here, there is a memory card in
the camera which has the files. You can play them back on the small
screen of the camera, or on a TV with this cable, all yours to keep."
He thanked me a lot. Len was about to ask for a card, so I said, "If it
doesn't go public before I authorize it." He nodded, and I gave him the
card.
Then we were outside. Don said to me, "That path up the hill doesn't
look like the other constructions here. Yours?" I looked at Rhamcha,
and he said, "It is the Road to Sera, my Monastery. Stephen made it.
The lights make it look very beautiful at night." I said "Sera was the
first Monastery I visited in Tibet proper, and the last Monastery I
gave a major construction to, before my house. And I think it's the
most useful one." We went on it. Rhamcha explained, "The words you hear
from our sacred texts, are in the Tibetan language, but you hear them
in the language you know best. Everybody does." I said "I didn't know
if that would work, until they tested it. I don't think the mics will
pick it up, except in one language." The sound man said, "My earpiece
is spouting what I think is Tibetan, but my other ear is hearing it in
English." I said "Thank you for that information." We stopped at my
pavilion. I said "I made this to mark the spot where I met a person
from Sera, who happens to be Rhamcha. I took him with me on my other
visits to the other places in Tibet, as my guide and chronicler. He
would wait for me here in the morning, so I made a place for him to
sit. This is the only construction which has some of my own sayings on
it. Touch the center post to feel something of me." They did, and said
"Wow!" Don said on camera, "I feel his love when I touch what Stephen
made here. Amazing!"
Then we continued on into Sera. Rhamcha conducted the tour. Then we
met with the other Abbots and Eli in a meeting room. They discussed a
lot of things, and then it happened. Don asked Eli, "Are you a
Buddhist?" He said "No, I'm a Christian Fundamentalist." I grinned, and
Len almost choked. Don said "Then how have you, er why, er, what do you
do here?" He said, "I'm one of Stephen's students. I teach sensory and
mind management here." Don said "You're not trying to convert them to
Christianity?" He said "No, I'm not trying to convert them to anything.
They are perfectly capable of doing something like that themselves, if
they want to." After a moment of speechlessness, Don said, "So what
Stephen does and teaches isn't part of a religion?" He said "What I
teach here, and what Stephen teaches of what he does, isn't a religion
but a science, which was developed in some religions, before science
existed, because that's where what passed for science in those days,
happened. Buddhism has been using some of that since its beginning.
Stephen has made it into more of a modern science, and developed better
and more effective teaching and training methods." Don said "Thank you
very much for explaining that! Can you do the unusual things that
Stephen does?" He said "Yes, some. I started too late in life to
advance as far as a student who started in childhood could advance, if
they had the same talent. I can travel like he does, and this." He rose
up into the air, and said, "I'm using the same principle as the flying
platform does." He settled back down to his chair. He said "It takes a
lot of math and physics to understand and apply the principles, and a
high degree of internal energy manipulation, do do that. Teleporting is
actually easier." Don said "Wow!" He said "We hear that a lot." They
laughed.
Don asked, "Can anybody learn to do that?" He said "Unfortunately,
not everybody can learn all that I'm teaching, just like not everybody
can be a great artist, or be great at something else. Some of this
requires specific special talents, aptitudes, and intelligence. For
example, how many people who study martial arts ever become a tenth
degree black belt? Most here will not equal me, as I will not ever
equal Stephen. But just as in the study of anything, there is still
much of benefit in improving oneself, even if one can't be the best in
something." Don said "That is very wise." He said "I'm only a small
reflection of my teachers, just like any other student. Even teachers
are students all their lives." Don said "I understand. Thank you very
much!" He said, "You're welcome. Ask any student of what we teach, and
you will get mostly the same response." Don said "Why is that? Are you
told to say those things?" He said "We are not told to say anything in
particular. Nobody told me to say anything like this. Nor did we even
discuss it, beyond asking me if I would agree to be interviewed. Part
of our training which is necessary for us to use our unusual abilities
safely, is to create and maintain a clear mind. If we don't have that,
we could easily kill ourselves in porting, and in using other
abilities. So we train to think clearly and well. What I've told you
came from such clear thinking. We express ourselves from who we are,
with no prejudices and misconceptions which most people develop over
time. This is what the Buddhists call more enlightened, and what the
West calls other things, depending on what school of psychology is in
fashion at the time. I should tell you that lying causes blockages in
the clear flow of thought. We not only do not lie, we train ourselves
so that we actually can't lie. It's a very healthy way to live. If your
wife doesn't ask you if her new dress makes her butt look fat." They
laughed, including me.
Don said, "I don't see any women. Is this education only available
for men?" Rhamcha said, "Monastery life in Tibet attracts more boys
than girls, which do not usually mix here, and more men rise to
authority here than women, in our society. However, we do have Nuns
here, and they are equal in education, including what Eli is teaching.
I don't know if they would agree to be interviewed, but we could try,
if you wish." They did wish, and one of the other Abbots went out, and
came back with some Nun teaching staff, who agreed to be interviewed.
That went well.
On the way down the road from Sera, Don said to me, "We haven't
visited any regular schools." I said "They are still run by the
Chinese, and we would not be allowed in them. Unfortunately, their
teaching methods prevent our kind of teaching from being effective. We
do NOT indoctrinate! It's only after they have been reeducated, healed,
as it were, in the Monasteries, that our methods can help them become
better people. And I mean that literally. Our students' IQs increase,
sometimes significantly. The Chinese school system is all about rote
learning, and some actual programming, implanting political falsehoods,
and very little about learning to think, which is how they want it.
Communists do NOT want their workers to actually think. People aren't
ants, which their rulers want them to emulate, so those over them won't
be overthrown. Changing the secular school system will take some time,
but it WILL be done!" I wiped my tears.
