Stephen's Secure Blog #192
These stories about Stephen began was when he was 10 years old, and
moving to a new part of the country to attend a special school for
gifted students, in the 1950's. This was from a time before computers
would fit on a desk, and when people communicated with friends in other
countries by actual letters sent through the postal service. He wrote
225 of them to a friend. He stopped writing to his penpal, but found he
still wanted to record his life, in case he lost his memory again, and
wrote 30 entries in his first logbook. Then he wrote to an artificial
intelligence called Geenee, in the master computer in his school for
gifted students, which he started attending in 2016. Now it's after
2018, and he's continuing to save his memories in a secure blog.
All characters are fictitious, even if some of them might have names
that belong to some actual people, or act like people we know.
The stories may not be posted in chronological order.
Stephen is 16 in this story, in the Summer after year 6 of his special
school.

I had a meeting with Zander at my house there. I said "I did it.
Those telepaths have lost their abilities." He said "Did you do it with
the dead?" I nodded. He said "With which tactic?" I told him, and it
was only the special chair which kept him from rolling around on the
floor, he was laughing so hard. When he recovered, I said, "And another
tactic, which I haven't told anybody about yet. I don't know how they
will take it." He said "Well, what is it?" I said "Are you sure you
want to know?" He said "No, but tell me anyway." I said "Well, I wanted
some lasting effects which would be noticeable to other people. What
was squirted, bleached the skin in blotches, permanently. It also
smelled very badly, and does NOT wear off." He said "Wow! And why did
you do all that?" I said "They work in secret. They used to. Now
everybody will know who they are, and if they don't know exactly why,
they do know they sure don't want to be anywhere near them." He laughed
again, and then said, "I think that might work, the stinkers." I said
"Exactly." He said "I never thought I would say this, when I heard your
plans before, but I hope you do that to all of them. The students you
and Rose brought us, have told us things, horrible things. I'm glad you
are working to stop that. We all are. Thank you."
I said "There is another meeting of the Supreme Authority happening
right now. The new undamaged chief of the Secret Police is there.
Should I do the dead trick again?" He said "Yes! Can I watch?" I said
"If you want some bad memories, Hawk will project it for you. This
chief murdered his best friend to get his current job. I duplicated
that body, and added some features to make the plan work. Well, none of
them in real life could squirt that far." He said "I don't know of any
species who can." I said "Too bad. Could be useful in putting out
fires." He laughed. "I said "Well, people do get excited in
emergencies." He laughed harder.
I said "They installed cameras in the anteroom, after the last
attack. I'm not going to turn them off, but instead manage the light
they see, and control the images they capture. The guards will be
asleep, and the body will appear there, but the cameras won't show any
of that. I don't want them to suspect psionics, but the supernatural. I
want them to fear the unknown, and so have no target to vent their
wrath on, but themselves and each other. The naked and rotting dead
body is there at the door." I opened it, and walked through it, and
said to the chief, "Murderer! You killed me! Now you have MY position!"
I walked to him, and he stood and backed into a corner. He and the
others thrust energy at me, which I absorbed. They shot me, and I had
big holes which only dripped blood slowly. They tried to send fire at
me, and I absorbed most of that, letting just enough to burn me to show
it happened. I screamed, "You stole my life so you could steal my
future! I take from you what is mine!" I ejaculated in his face, and he
screamed and fainted. I turned and walked toward the others, and then
let my body collapse, and then left it. We kept watching, and the chief
woke up and screamed, "My psionics! All gone!" Then he cried
hysterically. The projection stopped.
Zander said "Wow! I see what you mean. Not a memory one would want to
keep. But I see something. You don't attack the others. Only the
security man. And only at the meetings. Surely they will notice that,
and wonder why they aren't attacked themselves." I said "True. Very
true." He said "More psychological pressure?" I nodded and said, "One
or two more chiefs, and then a few assistants to the other department
heads. And then, some of them. We need to spread this out over years,
until our students of their people are ready to take over. The final
solution should be theirs, but we don't want to let all the bad things
continue as they were, before they can decide on what to do and make it
happen. That's why we are doing it this way." He said "Oh. Now I see.
Tough work." I said "Yes, and not something I would assign to anybody
else." He projected his love to me, and much more strongly than he
could have before.
I said "Make a picture in your mind, of your office in your school.
That stylus. You know what to do." He picked it up with a 4th hand, and
then put it back down. I said "Keep the picture. Stand up." He did. I
said "When I say go, shove your mind through that mental image, taking
your body with it. GO!" He ported to his office. I stood and ported
there, too. He cried, and I hugged him with love. Then I helped him to
sit down. Then I sat down, and dripped some tears, myself. I said
"Finally! I'm so happy for you, I don't know how to express it." He
said "I'm not so sad myself." We grinned at each other. I said "I've
already told Ichi and Pete, and they are very happy for you, too. You
will need to schedule your own training with them. Like in everything
else new, you are only at the beginning of your use of this new
ability, Advanced Student." He grinned some more, "Absolutely, Master
Teacher."
I said "Speaking about that, why haven't you commented on my changed
appearance?" He said "From respect for your privacy. Since you seem to
be inviting it, what happened to cause that?" I told him. He said some
wows. He said "May I see the sculpture?" I said "As a projected image,
yes." I showed it, and he said a really big "WOW! That's really
beautiful!" I said "I have to agree. It's better in person, though, but
we can't go there. We can, to the one in DC, if I schedule it with the
Abbot." He said "I would like that." I said "I'll let you know, then.
Any problems with the school?" He said "Nothing, but overwork. Not that
I'm complaining. The students are wild and wonderful, and I love them.
The Hopcher Guardians help where they can, and make very good foster
parents for the younger children. And they still love YOU." I said
"Useful tails." He laughed. I said "They still have a problem
understanding how I can hear as well as they do, with my tiny ears." He
laughed some more, and said, "I hear they like other parts of you much
better." I said "Well, er yes. More active." And more laughter. I said
"I'll try to be at the next big pool party on Allguard." He said "Good.
They, we, all miss you." I said with a grin, "All of me, or just part?"
He grinned and said, "Yes." I said "Srinoy has the same sensitivity.
Maybe we should both be at the party." He said "Absolutely!" There
wasn't much after that, so we said our farewells, and I ported to my
house on Allguard.
In the workroom, I started the design of the Thai shield. The swords
had hardened stainless steel blades, and were sharpened, too. They had
gold guards with gems, and emerald handles. I made the slightly curved
round shield of high polished stainless steel, thick enough to be
sturdy and hold its shape, but thin enough to not be too heavy to lift.
I wanted the whole thing to be able to be mounted on a regular wall,
and not pull it down like it was in an earthquake. I put the gigantic
star ruby in the middle, with a setting of yellow and green diamonds
surrounding it. Above that, I put white jade relief sculptures of two
elephants facing each other, trunks holding up a the Thai flag, made of
alternating bars of red, clear white, and blue sapphire, micro-faceted.
The swords were mounted so they crossed beneath the big star ruby,
looking like they were held by green gold sashes, chased and engraved
to look like cloth, which were tied to the elephant's tails. In the
lower right, and lower left of the shield, below the blades of the
swords, I put a relief sculpture in lifelike colors of jade, of sword
fighters on the right, and warrior Muay Thai fighters on the left. At
the bottom, between the sword ends, I put a light blue star sapphire,
mounted with a surround of deep blue faceted sapphires, and another
ring of white diamonds, on the outside. The rim of the shield was a
band made of 4cm wide, 1cm thick platinum, with gold edges, carved in
deep relief with elephants doing the usual things elephants do, with
jungle and trees between them, with a sprinkling of small pave set
different color diamonds. There were mounting fixtures on the back of
the shield. A strong man could lift it. But he better put it down
before I get very annoyed with him.
I invited Srinoy and his parents to my house on Allguard to play some
music, and show them the shield. Rose, Hawk, and Chad, were there. The
shield was in the music room, displayed with a light which helped show
the stars in the star ruby and sapphire. They had a lot of wows. I said
"Originally, I was going to put the swords behind the shield, but that
would have covered them up too much. That changed the placement of
them, because they couldn't cross over the big star ruby. That left
more room in some areas, and less in others, for added details. The
shield is of a different kind of steel than the sword blades, so they
polished to different shades, which was intended for good contrast. All
the stones are natural." Srinoy's father said, "I don't think our flag
was ever made like that before." I said "Well, I do gems, so that came
naturally. The not too thick gold frame around the flag, sets it off
nicely, I think. Being the only Thai people I know personally, I would
like your opinions about it. Specifically, if it will offend anybody,
and if it's appropriate to be on display in the museum." His mother
said, "An interesting meld of styles. Not Thai traditional with
excessive complicated gold decoration, but still with easily recognized
Thai themes, in a way which shows them well, and with obvious
understanding and care. Very good composition, with the colors,
textures, and materials. It is easy to see that it was made for art,
and to be of Thailand. There is nothing about the religious, or the
monarchy, which would have been offensive. You succeeded. Magnificent!"
Her husband said, "What she said." I tried not to smile at that, while
I was bowing my thanks. Srinoy said "I think it's great. The museum
better like it, that's what I say!" I hugged them all.
I said "Thank you for your help. Now I'm asking for it again. I would
like Srinoy to be with me when I deliver it. Well, he was there before,
and is my major connection to Thailand, and it's for that, and you,
that I'm doing this. My questions for your consideration are; should
the director be told that we are Buddhist Monks, and if so, should we
wear our robes when we present it?" Srinoy's father said, "No, don't
wear the robes. That would not be a religious function, and you are not
donating as a Monk, but as an artist. He doesn't need to know you are
Monks, and I don't see why you would want to tell him." I said "Fine.
I'll make the appointment. I wonder if I should send him pictures
before then." Chad said "No. Don't. But take a bowl with you, for when
his eyes pop out." We laughed. I made the appointment, which was for
the next morning. We played a lot of music, which Chad happily
recorded. All through that, though, they all stole glances at the
shield. I have to admit, I did, too. I really like my work. Well, why
else would I do it?
Srinoy was allowed to stay with me overnight, for which he didn't
complain about in the slightest. His parents and Chad left, and then I
told Srinoy about more plans. I said "After the presentation, and some
lunch, Zander has scheduled a pool party at the sports complex. You and
I are strongly requested to attend, and bring our special er,
attributes with us, so they can have a ball, or four, with us." He
tried to be serious in his reply, when he said, "I suppose we will just
have to oblige.", but his bouncing boner interfered with that. We all
laughed, and then proceeded to try to reduce that boner, and mine, and
Hawk's, too. It took a lot of great work, multiple times, to make that
happen. We slept together with love all over and around us.
