Stephen's Secure Blog #62
These stories about Stephen began was when he was 10 years old, and
moving to a new part of the country to attend a special school for
gifted students, in the 1950's. This was from a time before computers
would fit on a desk, and when people communicated with friends in other
countries by actual letters sent through the postal service. He wrote
225 of them to a friend. He stopped writing to his penpal, but found he
still wanted to record his life, in case he lost his memory again, and
wrote 30 entries in his first logbook. Then he wrote to an artificial
intelligence called Geenee, in the master computer in his school for
gifted students, which he started attending in 2016. Now it's 2018 and
later, and he's continuing to save his memories in a secure blog.
All characters are fictitious, even if some of them might have names
that belong to some actual people, or act like people we know.
The stories may not be posted in chronological order.
Stephen is 13 in this story, in the Summer, after the end of year 3 of
his special school.
Stephen's Secure Blog #62 "Rose and Hawk"
START Page
I told Hahchet we were done for the day and would talk more about
things when Zander would be with us the next day. He went to his rooms,
and I made sure there was his kind of food there for him. Then Rose,
Hawk, and I, had a conference. I said "Any things to discuss about our
trip here so far?" Hawk grinned and said, "It's been very educational."
I poked him and said, "That's not a discussion." Rose said "Why do you
want your art here?" I said to Hawk, "That's more like it!" He poked
me. I said "We need friends and supporters. This way we get some, and
it doesn't hurt us if they are admirers, too. The GC is going to find
out that we can be VERY strong and decisive people, such as with the
Van, and the Centaurs. Powerful, too. It's better they know us for
something they will think is nice and peaceful, before that, so they
won't run away from us in terror later, or something like that." She
said "I like that. Always thinking ahead." I said "Best way too keep
your head attached." They grinned and Hawk said, "Good one." Rose said
"More because it's true."
I said "If you two want to go home for the night, that's fine, as
long as you're back here early to continue the mission. I'm staying,
because it's bad manners to leave a guest alone in your house." Rose
was quick to say, "We should stay here, because the mission isn't
over." I said "Still, you should let your parents know how things are
going. Would you like to know what I have planed for here, after the
mission?" Hawk said "Stupid question." I said "Just for that, maybe I
hugged. I said "Some of Hahchet's training will require the assistance
of another Adept. I want that, when it's needed, to be you, Rose. And
when you need an assistant, you will get Hawk to help. Zander will
still be in charge here, though. Oh, and you two can help with the
martial arts training, too. Objections to that you can go outside and
tell the sand. Any other thoughts can be discussed here." They laughed.
Rose said "Why won't you be helping here?" I said "Zander is my
student, and Hahchet is HIS student. Just by being here, I would be
taking away from Zander's authority and effectiveness. I want Zander to
be a good teacher, so I can't be here to interfere with that." Rose
said "You explain things very well." Hawk said, "I agree, and you
really make things easier to understand." I said "That's what teaching
is."
I said "If you are staying here, the sleeping and sexual rules will
be the same as it is in your home. I promised your father that, which
you should have expected." Rose's emotions projected severe
disappointment. We hugged her and I said, "You know, we will all have
this and other lifetimes to play around in. There isn't any need to
rush into the future. Enjoy what you have first, always. The future
will come in its own way and it's own time." She, sighed in
resignation, and kissed us both. I said "Your roommate is a lesbian,
and in love with you?" She said "Yes. Awkward." I said "Then think how
it feels to me, who doesn't have sexual attractions, to have friends
who are in love with me, that I can't return to them that way?" She
gave a surprised "Oh! I never thought of it that way. I'm sorry! I've
been selfishly thinking only of my own feelings and desires, and not
how it feels to you. I should have felt it, but I think your
broadcasting of your love to everybody could have masked that." I said
"Good reasoning. I didn't think of that, either. Probably because I
can't directly feel the affect my love has on people." Rose said,
"Don't get me wrong. I'm not complaining one little bit about your
love." Hawk said "No sane person would." They must have felt my
reaction to that. Rose said, "What's wrong?" I said "I think you're
right about no sane person, because it's not a guess or a theory. What
do we do when a Senior Adept becomes insane, and cannot accept our love
and care?"
Hawk said quietly, "It happened, didn't it." I nodded. I said
"Fortunately, it involved me, so I could make her sleep before she did
something really bad. Then I called in Tomba and others to discuss the
problem. The result was I operated on her brain and repaired the part
which was malfunctioning, copying the configuration of that area from
another similar woman. We were lucky. It worked, and I didn't have to
disable her Third Eye and inhibit her communications and activities for
life. Now she doesn't remember what happened, just that it was fixed.
But I'M not fixed. I'm constantly afraid it might happen again to one
of us, and we won't catch it in time." Hawk said "Leaders have a lot
more worries than followers. You're the best, so while I'm sorry for
your troubles, I'l very glad it's you, and not somebody less capable,
who is our leader." I said "Thank you."
I said "Oh, are you trying to distract me from those worries?" He
said "If it's alright with you." I said "With Rose? If it's just play,
I suppose so." He took his hand off my nuts just long enough for us to
undress, and Rose got back to them first. I was concerned they would
fight over that, but they didn't. There wasn't much need to in the
link, because we all felt what everybody felt. They did take turns
licking them, though, which felt amazingly great. After a while, with
various methods of helping, we all finished strongly. While we were
resting, I said to Rose. "You will go to bed in the other bedroom here.
After that, if you get up in the night for something, and have trouble
telling which bed is which in the dark while you might be half asleep,
and if Hawk agrees, I don't think we would push you off of our bed, if
you happen to mistake it for yours. That would be rude of us." Hawk
said "Sure. We wouldn't want to be rude. At least not often." We
laughed. Strangely enough, that's just what happened. Three really is
better than two, even when you aren't awake to be fully aware of it.
Some part of you knows, and loves it, with love.
