Stephen's Secure Blog #56
These stories about Stephen began was when he was 10 years old, and
moving to a new part of the country to attend a special school for
gifted students, in the 1950's. This was from a time before computers
would fit on a desk, and when people communicated with friends in other
countries by actual letters sent through the postal service. He wrote
225 of them to a friend. He stopped writing to his penpal, but found he
still wanted to record his life, in case he lost his memory again, and
wrote 30 entries in his first logbook. Then he wrote to an artificial
intelligence called Geenee, in the master computer in his school for
gifted students, which he started attending in 2016. Now it's 2018 and
later, and he's continuing to save his memories in a secure blog.
All characters are fictitious, even if some of them might have names
that belong to some actual people, or act like people we know.
The stories may not be posted in chronological order.
Stephen is 13 in this story, in the Summer, after the end of year 3 of
his special school.
Stephen's Secure Blog #56 "Ivanna Trouble"
START Page
Ivanna wanted to meet with me. So, we did. We said hello to each
other, and then I just sat there, gazing expectantly at her. She had to
say something, so she burst out with, "Who are you?" I smiled and said,
"Stephen. Birth certificate says, Stephen Chad Holmes." She said
"That's not what I meant." I said "Then?" She hesitated, and said, "A
child can not do what you did at the meeting and in the action which
followed." I said "I can not do what I did? Then which of us is
dreaming?" She almost smiled at that, and said. "A child can not have
the wisdom you just demonstrated." I said, "Not even the original
Stephen, who created all this?" She said, "I don't believe he did. Not
a child." I said "You don't believe that he was our first Adept, who
developed and trained all the current most Senior Adepts?" She said "I
do not." I said "Not even if those same Adepts say he did, and can give
you their memories of him actually doing that?" She said "Oh."
I said "There is something not quite right here. I'm going to contact
Pete and ask him about that. I'll speak out loud for your benefit.
Pete! Ivanna is here, and I'm saying this aloud for her. She doesn't
believe a child can do what I have done, or that the original Stephen
did what he did. WHY and HOW has this been allowed to happen?" Pete
ported in, and said, "I didn't know. I'm sorry. I should have briefed
her before the meeting." I said "That's not enough. She doesn't believe
the original one did what he did. I don't mind that in itself, but that
opens the question of, then who did? How did we become who we are?
Which raises the issue of possible lying about our origins. We can't
have people doubting the truth of who we are. That can lead to the Dark
Path. Why can't she see the power of my aura, and know by that
something of who I am? Please examine her, and see if she has been
corrupted or damaged." While I was saying all that, I was contacting
Tomba, Chad, and Ichi, and asking them to port in behind Ivanna right
away. They did, and stood ready to overpower her if needed. I was
blocking the 4th, so she couldn't use it. She tried to port away, and
didn't move. I said to her, "You tried to port. I blocked that. ME! I'm
the only one who can do that, because I'm the only one who has ever
understood the math for that dimension. The first Stephen developed
that math when he was 13, using Ki to boost his IQ from 600 to 1200.
Pete, results."
He said "Not damaged, but corrupted by something I don't understand."
I said to Ivanna, "Why did you try to port away?" She said "To keep
from being killed." I said "Who would kill you, and why?" She was
silent. I said "Tomba, am I justified in looking at her thoughts?" He
said "She may have a pathological psychological condition. To think
that any of us would kill her, or even could be capable of such a
thing, doesn't seem rational, in the light of her own knowledge and
experience, and you're right about your aura, probably more than you
realize. Yes. Do what you need to do, and without harm, to find out the
reasons for her opinions and behavior." I opened my telepathy, and read
her total mind. She didn't feel it. I cried. She tried to port again,
and I still had that blocked. I said that to the group, and said, "She
chose that moment when she hoped I would be distracted from maintaining
my block on her use of the 4th. That shows that on some level she does
believe I have that ability, which I have never revealed until now
because I didn't know I could do it until I tried. She is unconscious
now. Follow me into her brain so I can show you what I saw." I showed
them the structures which were involved, and the linked memories which
were involved. I said "A psychotic break caused by an inherited fault
in the brain, brought on by triggered memories of being attacked by
children when she was a child. She couldn't accept that children, boys
my age in particular, can be good people. That was suppressed by
dissociation, until she saw me act beyond the normal at the meeting,
and with what I did to the Centaurs. Her work and associations need to
be checked, starting at the meeting. Her memories don't show she did
anything against us, but I'm not perfect, so something could still be
hidden."
Ichi said, "Can she be treated or cured?" I said "Not by current
Earthy science, or by GC science, which hasn't studied our brains
enough." Tomba said, "By omission, you indicate you might be able to
help." I said "Yes, but dare I? I can remove the bad memories, and the
current problematic memories. I think you know that. Can I repair her
brain? I can change the parts which are affected, down to the molecular
level, but I can't know if that would help, or make it worse. It might
help if I can compare those parts to healthy brains. The best choice
would be a woman of the same age, race, intelligence, orientation,
psionic development, and native language, in that order of priority.
Then I will have more of an idea if I can do anything useful for her.
As she is now, she is not mentally competent or responsible, and must
remain unconscious, for the safely of all, and under constant guard by
at least two Senior Adepts. Comments?" Pete said "Alesha will be here
in a minute." Then she was. She said "Pete briefed me. I volunteer. Do
I need to be unconscious?" I said "Thank you. No, and it will only take
a second. I would like to know if you can feel it, if you don't mind."
She nodded. I said with a smile, "It would be best if you didn't do
that while I'm looking." She smiled back and gave me the OK sign. I
said "Done. Thank you a lot. Please stay if you want to be a part of
this. I think I should try. Tomba, what do you think?" He said "There
are a lot of ethical issues involved here, beyond your treatment. I
think we all know if you can't cure her, you will have to remove her
psionic abilities, for the safety of the world, and inhibit her ability
to act against us, as a minimum. I know I would prefer death to that,
and I think I wouldn't be alone here in that feeling." Our feelings
agreed with him. He said, "That being the case, and since the best
qualified among us to make the judgment has ruled she is incompetent,
I, as the Cleric here, must stand as her guardian, and decide for her,
what I think she would decide if she were able to. Stephen, do what you
can to try to cure her, and if you suspect in the slightest that you
have not fully succeeded, you must do what you need to, to render her
harmless." I said "To the bed at the Temple."
Pete picked Ivanna up, and we all ported to my apartment in the
Temple, and he put her on the bed. Ichi brought over a comfortable
chair. I touched his shoulder and said, "Thanks, but I'll be lying on
the bed with her." I did that and talked with my stone. "You know what
I have in mind? The bed here has some experience with human brains, so
I thought it wouldn't hurt to see if it had any tips for me." He said
"What you plan has the best chance of succeeding, to our knowledge. You
have the skill. We will watch, and offer any comments which could be of
assistance, which we don't think will happen." I said with humor,
"Thank you for almost helping." He said "We love you, and always will
love you. Work with confidence." I did. I removed the original bad
memories, and their affect on her, and and rebuilt her memories of
after the meeting, up to when she decided to see me, to remove any
reference to her problem. That took a relatively long time. Then I
restructured the affected part of her brain, and adjusted the
regulation of the hormones which were controlled by it. Then I watched
for bleeding. None. I shot some impulses through the area, and all
looked normal. I said to the stone, "Any comments?" He said "You have
done well. We have nothing to add." I said out loud, "I'm going to
raise her level of consciousness a little at a time, while watching her
mind and brain activity very closely. I'll have the 4th block on her
abilities, and her Third Eye will stay closed until I let it open. But,
be on alert, just in case." I did that, and everything looked normal.
After five minutes of gradual waking, I let her go all the way, after I
got off the table and away from her.
Pete and Tomba were ready to explain things to her. She looked around
and Pete said, "Ivanna, don't be alarmed, and don't move suddenly.
You've had an internal brain injury. How do you feel?" She said, "I
feel fine. Rested, actually." Tomba said, "You might have a slight
memory disturbance of the past day. If so, it should resolve itself in
time. Your Third Eye is closed now, but should reopen soon." She said
"I had noticed that. I had brain damage?" He said "Yes, and it was
repaired." She felt around her head and said, "How?There is no evidence
of an operation." Pete said, "We have somebody with experience in that
area, who has PK and perception fine enough to do the work. We would
like to know if it has been wholly successful." She said with a smile,
"I don't feel any different physically, or psychologically, only
psionically. Who did the work?" I stepped forward and said, "Me." She
smiled and said, "Thank you. Was I a good patient?" I said with a grin,
"The best, being unconscious." She laughed. I said "Please sit up, and
let me know if you feel anything unusual." She did, and said she felt
fine. Then she got off the bed and stood, and felt fine again. I said
"It would be best if you didn't do anything strenuous for the next few
days, and I'm very sorry to say that means no sexual activity, which
should disappoint a lot of your admirers." She laughed. I said "Do you
know who I am?" She said, "You are Stephen, but obviously something
more interesting, included." I said "What do you know of the first
Stephen?" She said "That he was the first of our Adepts, and trained
the other founders, and invented most of our really advanced
technology." I said "I am his aware reincarnation, and am more
intelligent and skilled than he was, and I remember other past
incarnations as well. I'm telling you this, because we will be working
together, and we have some shared interests, because I was once a
Mongol Warrior, and because you should know we wouldn't let anybody but
the very best, immodestly said, er, mess with your brain. All the old
Seniors will verify this." She said "Wow!" I said "I hear that a lot."
We laughed. I hugged her, and gave her my love, and said in her arms,
through my tears, "Welcome back. I was afraid we had lost you."
Ivanna said "I didn't know I was gone, but I'm glad I'm back, and can
experience your love, and the love of all of you." I said "I suggest
you rest the rest of the day, and we'll check you tomorrow. I have a
light watch on the health of your brain, just in case. It's just a
background process with an alarm, so it shouldn't invade your privacy
too much." She said "I welcome it. Safety first! Thank you." Alesha
said "Sister, I'll take you home." There was a lot of hugging, and the
two women ported away. Tomba said, "Only a light watch?" I said, "That
was the truth when I said it. Not so now." Pete said "Good. Don't want
to alarm her. I assume you're going to thoroughly examine her as often
as you want to, for a long while to come." I said "Either that, or much
worse." Tomba said, "I'm VERY glad for BOTH of you, that it hasn't been
the worst." We all hugged and cried, and Ichi and I ported home. We
undressed and hugged on the bed. I whispered, "I'm afraid." He said "I
know. So am I. We will survive it, and be all the better for it." I
said "And I didn't even make you say that." We laughed together, but it
wasn't enough.
