Dear Cosmos,
Going "commando!" Hilarious. What little I know of a region with
which you seem initimate, I took up from the old website, Made to
Model, in which (and surprisingly so, to me) the models were all
Vietnamese, and hence the photography done in The People's Republic of
Vietnam ... apparently under the scrutinising eye of the People's
Authorities. As time passed, the more risque photoshoots gave way to
discretion, complete with strategic airbrushing to alleviate any
offense "going commando" might cause among the "proper" patrons ...
and the authorities. A collection of more lovely subjects I have
seldom seen.
I learned two things of interest from the site ... first was the
avoidance of wearing pants, as a health precaution and a matter of
simple comfort. The second was that, according to the producers, the
Vietnamese hold little enmity towards the Yanks over all that
horribleness after the French departed. An amazement!
